You forget that these are just a bunch of mindless drones without free will, taking commands from a single person who lacks vision, creativity and the ability to go off the books of what is a traditional villager village. If it had no one to give them orders, nothing would have been done. That's why players had problems. Players already had their own vision and drive to pursue and had to find like minded people willing to head in the same direction- which is exactly why there was war. This is a masterpiece, both the villagers and the players have the facade of a utopia but if you really think about it is a dystopia. For the villagers it feels like the giver, but for the people and the players its fogged with politics and conflict

Seeing both the villagers and player’s building is like watching two differing tv shows at the same time.

-villagers: Led by a man with free creativity and no politics -players: Led by many people and 3 different groups the town of bamb,the underground people, and the see people and had war,betrayal,death So in my opinion it is a tie because at the end the villagers were doing what they did best building and the players were doing what they did best having fun and beating the game

Of all the bad and regrettable things the dsmp are known for a bad storyline is NOT one of them. The lore is long and they actually cooked with it thats why they had such a huge fan base

I love how towards the end, the players decided that they should just come together to have fun and be free and do what they want. That to me is a win

Giving the villagers personality really helps with this beautiful story… The players win though, their story is very touching and realistic, awesome video.

More accurately this video answers the question "Who would win, AI villagers controlled by a single person who's whole career is built around being good at minecraft, or a team of players who seemingly not know what challenge they are doing".

That was weirdly touching

I think this could bring up the importance of who you hang with, about what is to hangout with people that are in sync with your beliefs and ideals. We have the villagers with one leader pursuing one same goal and dream, and they achieve something big and complex where they all can thrive and be happy. The other group had people that wanted power and control, other that couldn't care less about set goals and just wanted to play the same way everyone has always played and will be playing or that they could have done any other time instead of trying to play on a different way or the challenging one, and inside these if there were people genuinely wanting to be creative and build something nice they got screwed as they weren't able to flourish and develope their ideas, they got dragged by the louder issues. That group eventually split and those smaller groups went into working on what they really wanted. So... It's about the pursuit of what you really want and finding those that are interested on achieving the same goals so you don't up being dragged around things you don't really want to do? But at the same. time ways consider what is that that you want and if you are not wasting the opportunity to do something different and build something new by doing the same thing you have always been doing.?

The villagers built the best village. But the players showed us what’s more important, and that’s to be human
@ChocoRainbowCorn Жыл бұрын
While I agree (about the part that being a human is important), you have to remember this was supposed to be a competition, and it didn't end up as one. This has been a great but fun disappointment.

While Zee’s village is more orderly and aesthetically a good village, the only thing that makes me like the players’ more is the use of working around the island and using its resources in the building, which the villagers couldn’t do. I liked the jungle wood and the bamboo and how the players’ island still felt like the original island.
@thewolfstu Жыл бұрын
a fascinating show of the chaotic and intricacies of free will, every building different and unique and mistakes showing the human side of their work while the villagers had a united view through Zee's eyes. It is hard to say which is better because Zee did some bloody fine work with the villagers, but I feel like the one that the players made had far more flow. I must say, I enjoy both quite a bit, but for which is better, I might have to give it to the players.
