I think Maki was a bit more slapstick and Gege wrote her w/ ironic humor at times. I think the cintedt of the story rn is just limiting the breathing space needed for that kind of humor. Hopefully we'll get an arc or a few chapters for an outri after whatever the final fight/villian is

I'll die on the hill that jjk has TWO examples of what g5 should have been. People gas tf out of its unique creativity when really its just some random goofy affects but boring ability stuff. Oh wow theres some stars around the guys head, big deal all luffy did was stretch his arm normally to a punch or grow big. mahito is 10x more creative with morphing his body than luffy. All that freedom and 99% of what luffy does is stretch as he always could and grow big. Mahito made his body into a spiked net, or turns his fists into clubs. Thats the type of freedom with how he fights that i was looking for in g5. The second is if you want to take the "anything he imagines" line literally which alot of OP fans do, then takaba is also a much better version of funnt imagination becoming reality
