If you play the one piece games, You can find that Mihawk has an attack called “16 Holy Moons” or “16 Crescent Moons” adding onto that the Symbols that cover his sword are infact crescent moons. With his sword being named night aswell. In the anime Doflamingo also calls Mihawk “uncouth” which is probably the biggest hint of him being a CD. Since No one else on the Warlords is actually a CD.

Syv here's some head cannon for you. In Norse mythology there are two wolves that go by the name Hati and Skoll. Hati chases the moon through the night and Skoll chases the sun through the day. I think in the context of Shank's family we can make a connection to Garling representing Hati due to his themes of the moon and Shanks representing Skoll. Shanks being depicted as a lion would make sense due to the connections between Lions and the Sun for instance Strawhats ship being the thousand sunny and the lion head being on the front. We can also see the connection of Shanks pushing for the dawn of a new pirate era similarly to how Skoll chases the sun or in this case ushers in the dawn. Also to make the connection to Elbaf, the mother of these wolves in north mythology is a giant. If this in fact is the case and this idea is a representation of these two characters then maybe there's evidence of the part these characters play in the final saga of one piece as in Norse mythology both of these wolves swallow their respective heavenly bodies they are chasing when Ragnarök occurs.

That’s a cool thought, there definitely seems to be a connection between Mihawk being some kind of a beast or at least different from what he shows on the surface. I immediately thought of chapter 1073 when zoro briefly clashes with the s-hawk seraphim and says “you’re actually a little MORE human than him.” Which definitely comes off as ironic because s-hawk is genetically modified after an incredibly rare race of people and happens to be powered by be artificial green blood created by vegapunk. It would make sense that zoro would know about mihawks hidden abilities/ transformations because he wouldn’t want mihawk to hold back during their training. Of course to what extent is mere speculation. But it would make sense that zoro’s “sudden” inclination in becoming the King of hell is fitting because he has started to piece a few things together since his training with mihawk. He understands that simply being the greatest swordsman will no longer cut it (pun intended) and his fight against king was a key factor in proving that that there is more than just human who stand in his way of becoming the greatest swordsman/ the right hand man of the pirate king. Zoro has always been willing and imp now capable of reaching the pits of hell if it includes being on the level of his opponent and is fully aware that it is necessary at this point. The demonic resemblance of the gorosei is just square one and that would back up your claim of mihawks affiliation/abilities.

If Mihawk wasn’t human to zoros knowledge do you really think it would be a secret for this long or that he wouldn’t mention it? Also, he says he has to become the “ king of hell” because enma literally is the king of hell in buddhist mythology. Theory: there is a motif of witches and clowns in one piece. You'll often find a "witch" paired with a "clown". There's a clown-like guy who's a goof and a "witch"-like woman with some special powers or is a seductress. Alvida/Buggy Ussop/Nami Cesar/Monet Foxy/Porsche Vegapunk/Stussy Neptune/Otohime Luffy/Nami (Most of boroque works and Mr. 2 actually acts as both a witch and a clown) I believe that Nika's witch was Imu. I think that they probably had personal relationship (ie. They were friends and knew each other well) and that they had a falling out where Imu turned on Nika. This is why there are so many of Nika's friends who felt like they betrayed him (example Zunesha). Zunesha and others like her helped Imu to Nika's detriment thinking that they were actually helping Nika too since those two used to be friends.

Sooner or later mihawk has to make a move under cross guild and we get to see his true power. Buggy is aiming at the one piece and he currently does not have any ponoglyphs. Shanks took all kids and blackbeard took law own. I've been a big "16" guy for a while. But it never gets any traction online . I think it's interesting that Imu's name can sorta be read as 1-6. I think the celestial dragon namesake comes from Imu itself, leading me to believe he/she is a dragon but it's going to be an Oda original design, the punk hazard creations were failed clones. Also, unrelated: Syv, do you think the 3 skulls ties Blackbeard to the ancient giants? I think we get significant parts of Blackbeards story during the Elbaf arc

The theory is good but the sand worm is based on one of the oldest yokais. I sont eemember name but was some sort of a hairy snake/ worm body who works as the protector of plants and agriculture. I think oda make a few changes for the release of dune. And the fact this is one of the less known yokais or myths of asia. But tecnically jupiter hasba yokai fruit. But i really hope the holy knigth has some sort of mytical zoan of eastern or indian mytology. That would be awesome

What’s interesting is that there are tons of elements that are connected to Werewolves and Vampires. For instance Chopper is essentially a Werewolf, the Minks are also Werewolfs, etc. We’ve also seen Vampire-like characters, like the rulers of Lulusha, Stussy’s Devil Fruit, etc. It is definitely something Oda has been thinking about within the story. I don’t know how much I believe this, but it’s a cool idea and a good theory. It could very well be possible.

It's so obvious to me that Blackbeard is going to kill Shanks. You have this whole series of Luffy chasing Shanks, his idol, his mentor, his friend and inspiration. But never ever just happens to see him or be conscious to see him. Now fast forward to the end, I believe Luffy will be going to see Shanks it will be a huge deal, and he can just see an outline of him, he is so close to finally giving back his hat and seeing Shanks again after all this time. And what Luffy doesn't know is Blackbeard is there too, he comes into frame or his outline and then you see Shanks look back at Luffy, then fall to the hand of Blackbeard and die right in front of Luffy when he is so close. Either that will be the. Catalyst for the final battle, or Blackbeard might be to exhausted from fighting Shanks, see Luffy and his crew and just leave. Shanks might say a few words to Luffy so there is some closure or maybe not. But I think that is going to happen. Not all these theories that Shanks is evil or Luffy and Shanks will fight. No doesn't make sense, w good guys can't fight. Because someone has to lose and just doesn't make sense. I think you will get the obi Wan death in front of Luke scene, or something like that basically. Which will be the push Luffy needs to beat Blackbeard and motivate him
