For me personally as someone with a marketing degree i'm mostly here for the behind the scenes insights, and i like how Brian is all over the place when it comes to marketing lol. Also the banter you both provide is just icing on the cake. But that's the podcast. I think for channel growth, cooking video's is the way to go. It's also something i'm really looking forward to.. You reacted to a lot of recipes already so there's no shortage of things to make. You could also use ur cultures like the french dude makes asian dishes critiqued by the asian dude and the asian dude makes french dishes judged by the french dude kinda way. Pretty sure you come up with something. cheers

I went to a community college for 2 years, then transferred to a University where I spent 3 years finishing my degree (reduced credit hours each semester so I could get paid working in the co-op program), got my Bachelor's and got out with no student debt. That is my number one tip: if you aren't basically guaranteed a job that will pay off your debts in short-order, don't go for a degree that will put you in debt for decades. Going to college is a gamble, don't make stupid bets by going after degrees you don't have a plan for.

For top schools like Harvard and MIT, the students who get there on merit essentially always get free tuition. The cost is on legacy students whose families can afford it. Though random city public university is getting the money of the Ivy League schools with the rich alumni. But if you’re in a degree worthwhile, you should be able to get scholarships for the tuition. Room, board, and books might be an issue to get money for (though if there’s no online code needed, you can buy the international versions of the textbooks for like 5% the cost if you’re going to buy the textbooks). But for engineering especially, scholarships are very easy to come by. Then you could get so many AP credits from high-school that you could get a years’ credits before entering college, which breaks the system and it thinks you’re a year ahead of where you are, which is funny. If your degree ends in “studies” or “sciences”, like “gender studies” or “political sciences”, you don’t need to be in college, and you need to leverage being a minority or woman HARD to get any scholarships.

For the supply chain topic. I would say the reason why the west coast was fine is purely logistics. They were closer to the factory and shipping costs more money. Jit logistics can save you warehouse space and therefor money but when you have supply chain issues it all collapses fast.

Dude… Frenchy and I, same page with Jury Duty. The system we have now makes no sense. And I have said this while getting questioned for being in a jury. Look, to be a lawyer, you gotta go to school and pass the Bar (a notoriously hard exam). If you do it without a license, it’s a crime. To be a police officer, you gotta go through training and certification. If you don’t, you’re impersonating an officer. That’s a crime. To be a judge, there’s all sorts of things you need to do to qualify. But to be in a jury? You just gotta live nearby. Think if we decided anything else like that. Your car doesn’t start one morning and instead of a mechanic, you just grab 12 neighbors and they vote on what’s wrong with your car. Or you have a bad stomach ache and instead of a doctor, you just ask 12 random people walking by what you should do. Jury Duty is awful and if they ever get justice right, it’s a fluke as opposed to the system working as it should.
@alexandresobreiramartins94619 ай бұрын
It's the stupid idea that justice is being passed by the people who actually have 0 qualifications to do that. But it SOUNDS democratic, so it makes the masses happy. Especially Americans, who are so anti-elitism (meaning anti anything that's above basic manual labor worker education/knowledge level). If you disagree, tell me why "college boy" is considered such an insult (pre woke era, NOW it's an actual insult).

The reason Jury duty should be done by normal people is 1. so that the defendant is judged by a group of his peers 2. So that people who technically did something illegal but had a great reason for it (speeding to get to a hospital because someone is dying f.e. (maybe)) and 3. So that normal people can hold the justice system accountable if something happenes they don't like. For example the judge being blatently biased towards one seide.

It's not so strange that Frenchie has Italian, Welsh, Irish and Scottish heritage. French people are descendants of Gauls AKA Celts. Northern Italy was a part of the Gaul (Gallia for the Romans), tried to invade Rome in 387 BC and later Julius Caesar invaded the Gaul in 52 BC. Gauls/Celts arrived at Britain at approximately 1,000BC and lived there during the Iron Age, the Roman Age and the post Roman era and they left their cultural imprint on the Irish, Scots and Welsh, whose languages fall into what is called "Gaelic languages". The same happens with northern Spain, Galicians and Asturians maintain Celtic traditions despite the later Romanization of their culture.

Thing about jury duty, is that anyone with even a modicum of knowledge in law or even specific information in the case (expertise, background, technical abilities, etc.) Will likely get you excluded from JD. just look at why Neil Degrasse Tyson doesn't get picked. It's more advantageous for both sides to pick ignorant schlubs, so when they do present expert testimony, nobody knows enough to pick apart the witness.
