The Reason Central Europe is a broad category is fairly simple: War. France and Germany were at each other's throats with the Netherlands in the Crossfire literally for Centuries while Italy and Spain/Portugal are tucked away behing mountainranges. During all the pillaging, one occupying the other, Migration of war refugees from A to B etc. the genetics became basically one unit.

Wow! Thanks for the shout out! I’m honored!😘 I loved the discussion about Julia Child. As a young child, I watched Julia Child’s The French Chef along side Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. She inspired my lifelong interest in good food and cooking. It amazes me that even after all these years Julia Child still inspires chefs and home cooks to this day. She’s a true classic icon in the TV Chefs culture. Maybe do a show about Julia Child and her influence on generations of chefs and home cooks?

I just adore the chemistry between both of you. When you start laughing, I’m laughing. The genuine friendship, the discussion, and the knowledge base of food has helped me to become a better cook at home. Both of you are adorable.

I love Frenchy because he remains true to himself. In a world where so many people change their opinions or bend over backwards to try and please a vocal minority, it's refreshing to see someone so steadfast in who they are and their opinions but still also open minded enough to know not everyone agrees with them and that's okay. Brian I've watched for awhile for his cooking knowledge but his interactions with Frenchy just brings out a greater dynamic.

First of all, LOVE you guys!!! I have heard you talk several times about eventually moving towards cooking together. You have also talked about social media and building numbers on your channel. As you have already observed by reacting to other cooking channels, they have higher numbers. Your viewers and listeners can only HEAR your skill level and knowledge, but demonstration is everything. People love to cook along with their favorite cooks and chefs. It's an incredible connection. When I was first married to my wife, she burned water. After watching, and cooking along with Emiril, she eventually became an incredible cook doing everything from scratch and using only fresh ingredients. With my daughter, it was Gordon. You two have an INCREDIBLE opportunity to have two generations on the screen and cooking at the same time. Your amazing relationship is a HUGE plus. There isn't anyone like you two on social media with combined knowledge and experience from two very individual points of view. I think that you have a unique opportunity and should take advantage of it. Just my opinion.

Bill Nye is an engineer and Beakman was an actual scientist. I remember when I was in jr. high my science teacher went to some place where Bill Nye was doing a meet and greet and was completely snubbed people. He just showed up did the public relations photo shoot with people in the background then bounced. It was actually pretty sad because that was one of the few great teachers at that school.

It can be a bitch to ditch filler words. I remember going to an Army school and one of the main focuses was cutting them out. I would sit there watching my classmates do presentations and I would mark a tick on a piece of paper for every infraction and show them. One dude got close to 100 filler words in five minutes. He was like consistantly...uhhh.. completely and totally and fully..fuckin...uh..ya know..uh...doing it like all the time. I showed him his score and it stopped pretty rapidly. Love you guys! First of all, I love the podcast, Chefs! I'm fortunate enough to have found this pod very early on and see just how its going to evolve over time. I have three questions that are quite unrelated to one another, but here it goes. Is rivalry between restaurants a real thing? If so, what's a crazy story you can tell about that? Do either of you have an irrational fear of something? i.e. fear of balloons, fear of spiders, fear of forks, etc. Lastly, when is the last time you shit your pants? Why? Thank you so much! This is Michael Moses, non competitor in the first season of Beat Bobby Flay and I hope to see you in the next video!

I wanted to add onto the "Like", "Um", "Uh", etc conversation. I worked at a large aquarium for 13 years and used to do the animal talks and presentations. We would call those "Crutch words". Now that you have noticed it in yourself, you will be driven BONKERS by how much you hear it from others. I would also add, it can come back if you don't practice. What these "Crutch words" represent are pauses when trying to think of what to say next. That's why it clashes on camera. In public speaking they teach you to pause a moment and then continue. Pausing is "dead air" on camera which is viewed as negative as well. Eventually, now that you have noticed it, you will correct it...or not

A topic I was just thinking about is how food trends change throughout the decades. I don't know what pro chefs think about it, but sometimes it gets brought up in media. Like, on Kitchen Nightmares when Gordon Ramsay will visit old restaurants that haven't updated their menus in decades he'll make comments like "This menu is stuck in the 80s," and there are channels that have made videos talking specifically about how pizza restaurants change the kinds of pizza they serve and how they present themselves based on the decade, like how in the 90s it was all about putting as much cheese and pepperoni as possible on a pizza, the 2000s was about health-conscious and affordable pizza (mac and cheese pizza at pizza buffets, for instance), and nowadays the trend for pizza seems to be more focused on chicken and veggies more than on pepperoni and sausage. One scene that sticks out to me is when Tom Hanks in Castaway returns to society to find that the food trends have completely shifted. So, he sees King Crab being served and he looks at it curiously and isn't sure how to engage with it. He just looks at the crab and you can tell he's thinking "What the heck is this and how do I eat it?" while everyone else is thinking "Wow. He doesn't know how to eat this very common food. What a tragic story," without realising that just a few years earlier they didn't know what King Crab was either.

Even as a guy I appreciate Frenchie's beauty. Brian, beware, if Frenchie ever loses weight, he'll be like a burning Sun 😁 BTW: Regarding that Irish and Scottish ancestry of Frenchie. In some cases this could mean he is a continental gaul (celt). It would make sense with those Iberian admixtures etc. Could mean that Frenchie does not have Irish ancestors but has common ancestor with them. Corsicans and Sicilians have even genes that predate Yamnaya conquest of Europe (where proto-indoeuropeans of Yamnaya culture replaced majority of original pre-indoeuropean population)

I think for me, the content that gets me the most is the wasteful and cringy excessive meal trend. People making these gross ass pasta bakes, mixing pasta dishes, nachos, etc on their marble counters. It's just gross, excessive, and obviously to provoke a response. Frenchy's speechless face 🤣 Of brief moment with Blondie on the phone ❤ I can sense her vibes just based on her voice. She seems so sweet. Getting Frenchy to give Brian an "I love you" is like tricking a dog by having to hide their medication in a roll of deli meat 😂 I think the word you were looking for speaking on the burgers, Brian was "circumference" 😂 Another great episode, guys 👏🏻

So Frenchie, I work in a Customer Care Center and my boss, he´s the best boss i ever had, but he really likes to rehear and critique my calls with me and boyyy, my list of "prohibited" words is sooo large! And tbh, i didn't even realize you are repetitive. And there are way worse habits in talking. For example, when someone has a sentence, they repeat like, "as i said", but you get that two times per sentence.. So i wouldn't consider it a big issue, but a nice to have. I'm fully team form follows function, because its pretty by being itself. but sometimes, you know...pretty is pretty and doesn't need to be practical. And I have to say, Blondie did make a decent entry to the show! :D You should do this, to tease people you invite. just a very short, spontaneous call. OOORRAHH! I´d love a "Human Polution" shirt. Maybe with you two, dressed up as terminator and rambo, who shoot fosb's out of sandwiches :D Man i write quite a bit here. will stop here tho xD
