In this video I teach you how to fix your deadlift based on some issues I see with DK and if you did this I bet you will instantly deadlift more. There are definitely some small cues in here for the deadlift that I think will help you lift more weight instantly if you correct them.

Hey guys, Hopefully you can take some pointers from me correcting DK's deadlift and implement them to your deadlift for better performance! Let me know what cue helped you the most, drop it below.

That guy is strong as hell. Over-hand grip 670 with no straps and hitting a PR after changing his stance. Thats a lot to get use to in such a quick time. Coach Joe killing it with the great pointers. The breathing is huge and he nailed it right off the bat.

Strong as hell definitely, but he's using a hook grip rather than double over hand

I think the lift at 8:53 looked the smoothest with the best leg drive, like the back setup never moved, the legs just pushed away from the floor 👌

I'm 46 and stuck in the mid 500s. I think the tip here that might actually help me the most wasn't actually one of the three, but the notion that I've got my butt too low at the start of the pull. Coming up a bit feels like it's going to help with my leg drive off the floor for sure.

He started with pulling way forward of mid foot. After you coached him, it look SOOO MUCH better. He started pulling from the mid foot, had a narrower grip and everything.

you literally fixed my lower back pain when deadlifting. The cue to start with my hips higher was the key. I'm sure i've been told this before, but along with the 10 other cues it was always lost. I PR my deadlift today (estimated) by 37 lbs and no back pain. I could have easily increased that but my grip gave out. I was dangling my last rep on my fingertips. Once my grip catches up to what my legs can handle I know i'm going to blow my PR out of the water. Thank you!!

5:50 you can see the scratch marks on his shins from the bar. Think the Hex Bar or Trap Bar would help out with that. I favor the trap bar more than the conventional dead lift.

Maybe talking about tipping forward in the deadlift. When i get to 90% 1rm i start to tip forward ever so slightly. I cant figure why.

It's amazing how many people always have straight 90 degree angles with their feet, I always used to do it and when I got wider angles with my feet I always felt more comfortable and pulled way more as I got more comfortable with it, good stuff

Any advice on keeping your back tight when using an over under grip? For me when I use a double over grip it’s pretty easy to stay tight and I can kinda visualize bending the bar around my shins but once I get up in weight and switch to over under I feel like I lose a lot of tightness in my back. I would use straps but I don’t wanna rely on them and I wanna actually develop my grip strength.
