I could see some people being nervous about the way the dog nips at the bird... but I've got a border collie myself and they're some of the most gentle dogs. They use nips as a form of communication, and they are NOT physical. Mine found an injured dove on a walk once... was terrified he'd try to eat it, but instead he gently licked it! Love borders and doves. :)

did that stupid mutt eat pigeon feed just to piss the pigeon off? I guess the dog now will need some grit to digest the feed. Pigeon weighs eight ounces, showing a forty pound bossy dog that he won't be bullied. Dog is cruising for a wing slap....

Dog is lucky my duck isn't there(he died like 38 years ago). That duck fought off a German Shepherd and a golden retriever, on two separate occasions, an survived intact, except for a few feathers.
