With as tight of fuel margins and lacking of landing gear as these 3-part landings are, it's amazing that you got so far without needing to reload anything.

Honestly, I love all your videos. The problem is I am subbed to many other channels and I only have so much time. This means that I only ever watch your KSP, EVE, Elite, and Science videos.

I for one love watching your kerbal videos. Especially Interstellar quest and Galileo Conquest. Please don't ever stop, I can let my computer view it a couple hundred thousand times if that helps?

Technically Back to the Future was an 80s movie but the last part aired in 1990 so i would say the Back to The Future trilogy is one of my all time favourite and my favourite from that era. Really picky on movies so can't recall any that i particularly liked form the 90s especially since i was born in 1994 :D Men in Black and Seven are also really good movies. Would not say are my favourites though.

I want to say that I'd be extremely sad if you move these kinds of videos over to twitch - especially if you don't repost them back here to youtube. I completely understand the reasoning behind it, but I really dislike watching videos on twitch, not to mention that I can't watch twich everywhere that I can watch youtube. Also, I've seen a number of youtubers do this and it completely ruined the content. It usually ushers in the end of created, edited and curated videos for just stream archives where half of the video is the host talking to the chat.

I completely agree with all of this. Scott Manley is the only channel I still watch that I'd genuinely miss if it was gone.

at least his streams are not (yet) drowned in donation sounds, text2speech and all that annoying twitch fluff. So they're amongst the few watchable. I hope he doesn't become more "professional" at twitching.

I once managed to put a probe down on Tylo made of 4 Oscar-Bs, an OKTO2, an Ant and some tiny landing legs and solar panels. The expected fuel margin DV was double-digit and it ran out about 20m from the ground, but survived impact.

Don't get me wrong. All I really want is artificial gravity and a rocket that can put out one-tenth of 1g in for 8 to 12 hours straight. In short, the flying saucer will pulse it's way to anywhere. The greatest shortcoming of KSP is when a Kerbal gets somewhere, it jumps right out and stands right up on the suffuse. Instead of jumping right out and lying right down and trying to slither around with it's last bit of stringth.
@davidcampos14637 жыл бұрын
Although KSP appears very stiff in some ways, you should have the resources to go back and make a flying saucer out of Von Braun's space station with a sphere as its central component. The interior of the sphere will have to be filled at a later date. You can do it, Mr. Manley. I have faith in you.
@loganpoppe34947 жыл бұрын
I think the reason people don't watch your game videos much is that Kerbal was a surprise hit. A lot of people played it and struggled with it, and you've been great at both succeeding at it and explaining/narrating how you succeeded and making it fun. Your other games are often obscure that many people don't play or they aren't a challenge that they need explanations for. That's just a guess.

20:53 And lo the struggle was long and fierce ... but Scott Manley has now fallen forever into the endless depths of dad humor; never to be witty ever again.

Scott, I love your KSP videos, but I also really enjoy the other ones. It's very hard to catch you on twitch (at least for me), and the previous videos seem to be uncategorized, so it's just filtering through pages of videos without context. For your other videos, for me the joy comes from playing along, or experiencing a game with you. For things like Opus Magnum, Everspace, and a few others, I didn't enjoy the videos as much because I was watching a retrospective, or a review. I don't know if others feel that way, but I hope this comment is found to be helpful!

Hey Scott! That "car" at the thumbnail gave me an idea: What about a Hotwheels alike ramp and car to jump from the Moon to Kerbal? Do you think that is possible? If yes, that would be an awesome video ;) PS.: this is my first comment on your videos but I watch you forever now. Keep the great work!

It's a real shame that you aren't getting as many views on KZbin because you have really good content and I can say that for me twitch isn't as fun because i have to drop what I am doing to watch you when you are streaming or watch latter when it isn't the same experience. Also my internet if weird and doesn't stream twitch near as well as KZbin

Whenever someone mentions Braveheart as a historical movie, I try to refer them to Michael Collins. While not perfectly accurate to history it's very good, a similar story but more modern than Braveheart, and a much better-made movie overall. Very very good movie.

If you’re going to move gaming stuff onto Twitch have you thought about uploading the raw, unedited recordings onto YT (perhaps onto a second channel) for those of us living in time zones that make it inconvenient to catch you live? Most streamers I know of post their recordings to YT as last time I checked, Twitch’s built-in VoD system is pretty terrible.

I really enjoyed the newer HHGTTG movie but I really wasn't thrilled with the creative changes they made to the characters. Most of all I really hate what they made of Zaphod and his two heads. I get that it's hard to make a realistic looking two headed guy but the fact that he literally had a left and a right head and not some kind of deformed head thingy on his neck was brought up over and over again in the books. To me the best version is still the early 80s TV adaptation. They just got the characters perfectly! Pity they only included the first two books in condensed form though.
@Danbearpig7 жыл бұрын
I could rage for hours about the Hitchhiker's Guide movie. Easily one of the top ten worst movies of all time. I don't even consider it an adaptation of the book because there was none of the book in it. They literally took the good jokes out to be replaced by bad jokes, such as replacing the brilliant reverse-psychology bit about getting Mr. Prosser to lie in the mud in front of his own bulldozer with a bit about Ford Prefect having... a... shopping cart full of beer... for... no reason? Just so he could take Arthur to the pub anyway? And it's such a tragic waste, too, because the cast was great and the Vogons looked amazing, and Alan Rickman was a perfect Marvin... or would've been if the character Marvin was even in the movie instead of that empty substitute version that had exactly no good jokes and even fully undermined the premise of the sequel in the last throwaway line, giving away the fact that nobody in charge of that movie had a scrap of understanding or respect for their source material.
