When the T22 was introduced with its ridiculous mission demands, it was such overpowered, that it was basically a must for clan wars. This lead to the massive rigging to get this tank. And honestly, all of the persons I knew back then that had it, rigged it (despite those players were even better than me and I was pretty good in this game with 60% WR w/o massive seal clubbing).

God, I remember when people were rigging to get the old T-22 sr. tank. It was basically a child between an IS-7 and the Obj. 140. Just drive to the middle of the map and bait everyone to shoot your side armor.

I'd say more of a Obj 907 x IS-7 since the sides are weird like the 907 although I heard that the 907 is apparently just a further development of the T-22 medium so idk.

The reverse side scrape works even better on the is-3 imo, tier 10 gets frustrated when they cant even pen a tier 8 with gold.

Or just side scrape with IS-M. Its side armor is 120mm, so even if the enemy has 330 HEAT pen wont go thru at angles over 65 deg. Not because of extreme angle ricochets but due to normal non pens. No V shaped hull or reverse positioning needed.

I still remember how much Rampage missions was hard to complete to get T22, then people start to rig missions and all fell apart :( I still have it ( but it's trash nowadays ) after WG nerf it badly. Anyway golden times of WOT

It was buffed after the initial nerf. Still not nearly as good as it was, but with field mods and bond equipments it's actually not that far off. I like it. It's not trash at all but it's also not OP by any means. Worth 25k bonds? Probably not.

Just a note- when the tank is hull down, you can shoot through the rather large gun mantlet really easily with standard rounds (you need ~240mm of pen)

gonna be real with you. When I first got my 140 I felt underwhelmed. It already had its turret buffed so I didnt go for the T62 A anymore. The gun handling didnt feel enough for dropping so much in alpha and module dmg to me at the time. A LOT of time has passed and when this thing got its buff to 7° of gun depression I started liking this tank and it became my first tier 10 ace tanker. The gameplay that made me like it was this rapid fire rate alongside its reliable gun. to me this REQUIRES the 7° and gun handling. I personally find no interest in the t22..the only trade I'd be willing to make for the 7° would be the 907 with its better mobility and slightly better camo and gun. But 5° in 2022 sounds like a pain to me..

5 degrees in a medium is rough, but in other classes it's workable. It's better than the 3 degrees the Chinese line had. (and I loved the Chinese medium line back in the day)

he must have hit the track. Blocked damage only counts if you actually block it with your armor. If the shell hits the track, but not the armor itself, it doesn't count, because you technically didn't block it.

I especially like this carpet camo. It brings Russian tanks a very interesting appearance. I've had success in the gambling fiesta of a caravan and got myself the two most coveted predium TDs imo. Very happy and this is the last of the gold in my account from the 20 or so lootboxes I got. I wish all of you the best of luck in your slot machine deals, and a happy Wednesday! @@QuickyBabyTV BTW you have not mentioned that actually it was nerfed and when it came out it was even stronger plus gold was way less used than now. It was almost impossible to deal with and tanks like Obj.140 was way weaker than now. It have had no gun depression advantage. It's upper plate was weaker to. So Obj.140 was no match at all. Now I am pretty sure it is.

I think this was one of the first tanks in game that started to blur the line between heavy and medium. It is good tank released at wrong time, back then ppl were used to heavy being slow with armor, and medium fast with good flanking gun and low or no armor. But now in this meta, this tank fits perfect👍👌

i was really looking forward to getting this tank with gold i have 43k gold and was hoping to dump into this. Sadly its available for bonds 25k and i only have 13k. Seems most of the good tanks are for bonds which a lot on players don't seem to have because they can use bond equipment. I wish i could buy this for gold.

The accuracy stat is funny because when the tank was first released, it was marketed as having higher accuracy than the 140 and T-62A, but then after it was nerfed it lost that selling point.

Looks like an interesting tank. I love tanks that can over-angle effectively, but the 5 degrees of gun depression is killer. Also, I have neither the bonds nor the gold to purchase this if I got the option in the caravan.

I don't play World of Tanks PC, I only play Blitz. It was during this comparison when QB was talking about the penetration of the T-22's gold rounds that I noticed something that I'm sure everyone else knew already and which actually explains a lot about why "gold spamming" is such a hated thing in PC: The gold rounds have the same alpha damage as the regular rounds. This took me completely by surprise as when you fire gold rounds in Blitz, your penetration increases but your alpha damage DECREASES (with the exception of HESH). This makes it far less viable to fire only gold rounds, as you will be reducing your DPM by a significant margin. I don't understand why this isn't a feature in PC, as it makes the premium ammunition far more balanced. Sure, you get much more penetration, but you have to pay more and you're doing less damage, meaning you're less likely to rely solely on your gold rounds. I know this is old news to literally everyone else, I just sort of assumed this was the same in PC as it is in Blitz cause...y'know... it makes sense. I suppose it was too gracious of me to assume that Wargaming would ever actually balance anything properly in all their games

Hard to believe this tank came out over 7 years ago, wow. I remember when it first came out before it got nerfed. This tank was Ludacris. One of the reasons it was nerfed was because so many people rigged the game mode to get it so they were "punished" for it. Also it was pretty broken to boot!

Kirovet is not for gold but 15 millions credits. It is a 703 with Defender gun handling... Horrible. IF you don't have a Defender the Kirovet is ok for credits.

Don't forget the middle area of the mantlet is actually weak as well against AP rounds. So if it is reverse side scaping and you're a F2P player, do you best to hit the middle of their mantlet.

Back in 2015 I rigged the missions in order to get the T-22 med. I heard people were getting banned for it so I made a new account and grinded up to the 140 and rigged it. I rarely play the tank since its not on my main. But when I take it out, despite the nerfs it fits my play style perfectly. Its an amazing tank, and now that Im a collector with a couple hundred tanks in my garage, I have to pick up the T22.

I don't play RU meds I play RU havirs, my best is 4 crew has chuck Norris and is working on it's 5th or 6th skill. I have other crews with 2-4 skills in various other tanks, and my ISU crew has 4 skills. The thing about the RU meds is that I like meds with gun depression to make them more versatile, like the udes line.

Even w/ the HE changes and when getting HEAT fired at it this thing is just so broken (when done right) when reverse sidescraping. I remember bombing it into the corner on highway and reverse side scraping and just getting permatracked over and over but in a spot where I could still fire back so all I did was wiggle my turret a bit, bounce shots, and fire away. I think I blocked something like 4-5k in just 2-3 min while the rest of my team pushed through the city. Damage was ok, but I was the distraction that led to my team getting the early lead and eventual win, so IMO I did my job.

T22 didnt come up for me in the calendar. But the Kirovets-1 did. It was 15,000,000 credits. I passed on the deal as I have all the other Russian heavies (that I barely use). I havent seen rave reviews of the Kirovets-1 so it is a pass for me. I did get a great deal on the Type 59 finally!

He hits the ebr with his reticle barely on the back side of the tank and it driving the opposite direction and he hits...come on 10 out of 10 times that misses because my rounds routinely go to the opposite side of the reticle that the tank is going for one and its called leading the target not aim where the tank is because travel time of the round the tank is no longer there but WG and rng said "sure makes sense to us...HIT" and not only a hit a pen on an ebr...that's probably more the miracle of that shot!

Big fan of your videos, but one thing irks me, your use of the term "millimeter caliber." That's equivalent to saying "centimeter inches" as they are entirely different measurements. Caliber is measured in inches (i.e. .50 caliber is .5 inches) whereas millimeter is measured in, well millimeters. What am I missing? Thanks :)

My First Build'll be something more Up Close and Personal, it'll Reduce as much RNG as Possible that way as well as Most of it's Limitations.... Gonna try Turbo, Hardening, and Modified Config for the First Build since my Plan is to get In Close and Drive Circles around People and be a PitA... For a Second Build, I wanna try Grousers in place of Config and Hardening for Different Matches to See how they Work in Different Situations... I WANT the Tank in Close to Limit a Target's Abilities and use Their Tank as Additional Cover while I'm there from the Rest of their Team.... I'll Play with other Builds for the Gun later, but with how Close I'm planning on Playing right now, the Gun'll not be an Issue... Basically, I'll be Playing with Possible Builds also for the 430U, it's been Unlocked for about 3 or 4yrs, but I've yet to Buy it... I used my 4 Skill Crew from my 274a so BiA is outta the Way as are Sit Aware and most Other Essential Crew Skills.... Without any Equipment right now, my T-22 is at 2790 DPM, I just wish WG'd make Grands a Bit More Often than it is, I'd love to get it on that Large Map and just Drive Around and Get to Flanks while everyone Else is Looking the Other Direction and Storm In from Behind them... This'll be a Just for the LoL's Tank for the Most Part, buying it because it's Rarely Seen out in the Wild as well, so there'll be Little to No Seriousness about this one... Maybe some Advances, we'll have to see how that Pans Out... This'll pretty much Take Care of all the Tier 10's that are Unavailable now thru the Regular Game Client, have the Foch 155 and the Deathstar outta the Way..... The Waffle'll not be Back anytime Soon on either NA or EU Servers until WG decides it's ready for another Income Boosting Event on their End.... THEN we WILL see the Waffle getting Released because WG's likes to say Never Again and Do it Again anyway... :)

I have only 9k bonds I didn't see this tank but that Foch 155 came up for me and it is of course 10k bonds so I am screwed yet again been saving bonds for 2 years still not enough to buy anything lol.

as with all these new ' competitions' that WG keep coming up with, they are all aimed at the more professional players rather than the players like myself that are random players have absolutely no chance with obtaining any of the Premium tanks that are in these comps. Hence i don't go all out to try and gain any...QB i think its about time YOU actually helped us non professionals ......

@@durachoks probably yes. That is a point QB missed. The turret is not as strong as I believe it used to be when this tank was broken OP.

I love WOT but I do think it's a bit unfair for console players because we don't get field mods or even some of the normal consumables. In the past, we had chocolate, tea, turbos, binoculars, etc but now they are all gone and on top of that PC now has a major advantage over consoles with better tanks, literally. Yes, I know that we can opt out of cross-platform games but what if we have a friend that is on PC? Or if we want to spend less time in the loading screen waiting for a match of only console? just my thoughts.

Just wanted the gsor and got it on my first reroll. Bought it and was happy with that. But man yeah I didn't do more than that so for my sake it was pretty good. But damn it actually was trash, I just didn't bother investing more than a gsor
