Get him to play the British SPG line, particularly the Bishop and FV304 (I skipped ahead to there, maybe the Birch is as bad?). They're not SPGs, they're "up and over" slow aim time TDs because you can barely even get shots out to the render limit, never mind vision limit (and yours will be crap, I mean, why put binocs on when you really want some hard cover between you and the enemy anyway? ). Maybe the pain will make him want to play proper TDs instead ;) . I am *SO* looking forwards to Elite'ing (and Battle Pass points) out the FV304 so I can get onto the Crusader SP. Disclaimer: I play lights, mediums and TDs a lot too, but rarely heavies. And my name is definitely not Jeff.

I think these Low- and Mid Tier games are good. The more experienced, High Tier-players already know most of the tricks and tips. But to have a top notch player explain and advice the newcomers will do much more to make the game fun and enjoyable. I wish I'd seen a lot of your videos when I first started playing.

And it avoids the Tier 8+ issue, for newer players, of really needing to know all the weakpoints, alpha, reload etc of every tank you might be facing. That step up from Tier 6/7 to 8 is still brutal in my experience. So, yes, a 'professional' (love you skill ;) ) demonstrating techniques on Tier 6/7 will benefit the less experienced players because they can then go and try to re-create it wihtout hitting that T8+ wall.

FYI I am enjoying the lower tier content. Although I've been struggling with the Centurion Mk. I lately and the spreadsheet seems to say no Skill YT video for that yet. NB: I'm doing better in the swedish T8 medium, so it's not the tier/medium gameplay being an issue as such, probably it just suits my play style better ?

The new hp changes etc for tier 5 and 6 go against my 22k games muscl and brain memory. I find my brain saying they are dead and not realizing it takes one more pen to kill them. I am slowly getting tuned to it but tanks like the T43 seem to be tougher then I remember..lol.

Skill you should check the VK 30.01P, which got changed from medium to heavy. In my opinion they completely ruined it, they just game it more HP, made it a lot slower but didn't change the armor at all.

Idk whats the point tho? T-34-85M was already an incredibly powerful tank, it was a better T-34-85, which was a great tank on its own. What the point of buffing it even further? This tank currently has better alpha and dpm and frontal hull armor then KV-1S, a rather good tier 6 heavy, not to mention the mobility, concealment and other aspects. It simply makes other T6 tanks pointless

Hi Skill. Pity that the 85M's German competition, the VK 30.01 P, got completely nerfed and banged in the ass by the 1.9 patch. WG continuing their hatred on German tanks. I loved my VK. Sadly I now sold it. No use to have it in garage anymore. Same for Easy 8.

I received the T34-85M as a reward several months ago. Couldn’t figure out why WG would put a tank out that just “couldn’t” in many ways - wouldn’t turn fast enough, wouldn’t withstand hits even with side scraping and moved like a drunk cow. Like it seems always - WG puts out a tank that can earn credits and did fairly well for a dozen games or so then the nerf. It was a premium that sat unused after awhile. Hope WG buffed it into use ability again.

I don't want to contradict you about the tog.... but I will.. if you know where to go and get hull down on ridge it can be such a huge DPM platform it can destroy 3 tanks before dying.. easily.. but you need to know how to move the thing is so huge you need to plan a minute ahead pixel perfectly .. but if you can hide ur body (my favourite is to go into a river, no I am not joking) and shot sideways peeking it can work incredibly well even with no support.. not saying it is competitive but it can be a massive pain in the bum to move a Tog who can play well (it depends on map, but usually you pick a window in a city or a river or something to sit in)

I personally think it really appreciated the buff to penetration. It really only lost a tad of top speed it didn't reach anyways and a little bit of traverse. But it gained 38mm standard pen and 55mm premium pen which makes it vastly more dangerous to face since now half it's clip doesn't bounce. (the extra 100 hp is nice but kinda not noticable)

The penetration buff is huge but it's still made of paper and has terrible gun handling. The huge camo nerf is the worst part of this change as it used to be able to spot surprisingly well but now it gets out spotted by Russian heavied

Thanks for the upload. Good content as always. Interesting changes to the low tier pubs like that T-34-85M. I have a question that I know is not popular, especially on the forums but I am going to do some SPG missions. Insted of wasting my orders to skip it, I am going to play the pesky clicker. Still get some decent extra silver from the missions. Do you have any tips at all which in the current meta is "ok". Not asking for best. I do know all have their + and -. Some better aim, some better splash etc. Like US tier 9 is popular but I don't think I am going to play to tier 9 just to clear my SPG missions. So what would you recommend? Nope. It may have been somewhere sometime a long time ago but on the NA server the T-34-85M is closer to a glass cannon than a meta tank. There's just a lot more tier 6's in the game that whomp the crap out of it and send you back to the garage far too often.

Vaughan Cole - Been there, done that. I’d like to see now that I’m a bit wiser with experience, if the tank has gone through a buff or not. When I played it mysterious tanks would show up and out flank me, enemy would shoot through buildings and kill me and I couldn’t get more than 1200 hit points/3 kills out of it. When I played it it acted like a turd. Good luck.
