I really dont understand why these are so expensive. They arent very good, infact they're property worse than spider goggles. They should cost 2 mil absolute max. I have 4.5k hours in tarkov and I have not seen a single person use them except for end wipe events when shit is 99% off. And i play night raids a lot

Well considering most of the players in this game never see 17mil at any given time, perhaps theres a reason for that. They should probably be about 5 mill or so if you wanted to see people actually use them. Regular thermal scopes are about a mil and people almost never run those.

I used them during the supercovid event a couple of wipes ago when the traders were cheap. the ironsight requirement (and max range, don't use 'em on woods) was a bigger obstacle than the extra vision ability

honestly their not really that sweaty nor op, while the up sides are nice in theory their significantly over priced to the point of irrelevance, you can only use iron sights with them making long range shooting basically impossible, and the sight picture is not that great, you are really better off using that money to buy any of the other thermal scopes or the items to barter trade them as while those scopes are not great they do their jobs decently and at the ranges where thermals are most effective a scope will do you better then a T7 ever will
