I kind of feel like they have balanced the new codexes with each other, but due to the staggered releases, and releases having been followed by nerfs, every new codex feels OP. When really if they just released it all at once, they'd be relatively balanced

I feel like they should change it to Rule of Two or something. So many meta lists are based around taking one unit as much as possible and reducing the ability to spam the same unit would definitely help reign them in. Also, it would hopefully lead to more interesting lists.

Harlequin player used the warlord trait on death jester wrong, he does not need to turn his first dice into a 6 if he hit succesfully. Wait for the third roll and use it then if you did not have to use it for a missed attack roll in your first or second shot.

Favour by Cegoroach activates after making the roll therefore you have to slow roll it to activate otherwise you're fishing for more information to change a past roll to a 6. What you're explaining is saving your Favour by Cegoroach roll for the last dice to decide where you want to use it and that is playing with more information than what you're supposed to be given. For example, if I were to wait until my last dice roll to use Favour by Cegoroach and slow rolled it to get 2>4>6 and decided to change the 2 or the 4, I am playing with more information than I normally would to maximize my results. If I were to wait until the last dice roll to use Favour because slow rolling I hit each one, then if I were to roll a 6 for my last dice roll I wouldn't be able to use Favour by Cegoroach because the last dice roll I made was a 6 and cannot use it on my past rolls when slow rolling. If I were to wait until the second dice roll to use it, then if I roll 2 6's in a row I don't get to use Favour on the first roll. Instead slowing the first roll to use Favour of the Cegoroach if it's not a 6 is the best option for fair use of the ruling and the most optimal way to do it as well.

I don't play 40k and matt rolled hot, but why does it seem harlequins had better shooting than tau in this game? Isn't it supposed to be the opposite? Again i dont play so no idea just thought that the clown were heavily melle focused

because harlies are hard to hit, Matt was doing the shooting focused harlie saedath, and Tau has problems hitting things in general.

Harlequin boats are naturally -1 to hit. Lightning Fast Reactions stratagem can give 1 unit -2 to hit. Hit rolls also cannot be re-rolled against Harlequin boats and bikes. That means T'au is usually hitting on either 4's at best or on 5's. This turns off the efficiency that T'au has against the army with their large volume of shots.

If Dameki used Pathfinders and perhaps just added 1 riptide...like pricewise for bodyguards its way better to have a riptide. They have nerfed riptide so much and that damn fukn giant of a gundam can still wreck shit if its not dealt with. Lol. Maybe ghostkeel to compete to the -1 to hit? anyhow the pathfinders and sniperdrones with some gundrone spam you could pull off some serious dakka. Now im a retired tau and fully converted back to my chaos roots except in 40k. And tau meta has always been cheecky to deal with. From 4 commanders to the Riptide fear meta in 7th, Tau have always been a Hopskotch grasshoppers with minimum st.5 guns that have little laser pointers to help out. Also lets not forget the 6" overwatch that had to be gone in 9th. Anyways im glad im enjoying the hobbie with help of 3d printing and many other outside GW sources....its great to make this nerd shit enjoyable with those that find it the same.

You are correct. Crisis suits (both bodyguard and otherwise) have 4 wounds only. Although most of the suits died so early that the mistake didn't matter too much.

I had a few games of my Harlequins vs Tau at the weekend, he killed one troupe player over the course of three games, and I nearly wiped out his entire army every game. And that was using the previous rules for Harlequins. Their strength and toughness is nothing special, but they just get so many attacks and abilities to reduce damage

It's getting harder and harder to watch you guys play, more and more matches look like someone bringing a tourney list vs something experiential. Towards the end of turn two he looked like he wanted to be anywhere but on screen. Don't get me wrong, Matt did nothing wrong, he played smart, built well, and just dominated. I get what this tau list is going for but if anyone brings fast movement or armor your going to get hit ( like you did ). yes tau have an aim problem when dealing with +1 to hits from hard to hit vehicles also the beta strike from Matt was brutal and unavoidable as were all easy to get to. About the backseat, you are going onto the internet and showing games , your going to get critiques when you make mistakes you are going to get called out on it. Also please stop trying to justify a game by the points, when an army is at less that 1/3 strength and all they have killed is 2 light vehicles and 2 characters it's time to pack it in.

We completely understand that - however a majority of our games bring non-tournament lists since we do our Tournament Games during the end of the year. Like we stated in the video, this game was to prep for a team tournament we're both attending and since we already play a lot with 2 streams a week this is one of our only times to get practice games in. For the backseat toy, that's just a meme to poke fun at twitch chat during the streams when they poke fun at us. Harmless banter, granted it probably doesn't translate well in a youtube video since it's more or less out of context. I agree. This game was a stomp, but that's course for the par in a tournament game when armies are so lethal and once it tips into one person's favor it get's easier to run away with the lead. If you've played league of legends it's like killing an opponent in lane and pushing your advantage super hard by zoning them away from minions or invading the enemy jungle more. It get's harder and harder for the enemy laner to catch up most of the time unless you misposition and mess up.
