I use a plastic bag half full of sand to support the container. It allows for great angle control and container support while you are working. Love the video, I am glad you are making them.

thank you for answering my previous inquiries. i love all your videos because they are so inspirational and your arrangements are so zen-like! as i begin this journey of making moss terrarium ( inspired by your videos), i have more questions than answers. i notice that you do NOT use soil nor charcoal in your arrangements, unlike other terrarium makers. you only use sand, gravel and larva rocks. does this mean that soil or charcoal are not necessary and moss will grow without them? again, thanks so much for your time.

Hola amigo...

Is coco peat a best alternative for bark powder? Or do you have any suggestion for a substitute?

Hello, I really like your videos, I find them very creative ❤. I have a question: how do you fertilize? I suppose that via foliar, but if salts are deposited, does the moss not spoil? I thank her for her response, and I wish her a good day; Best regards.
@michikusa31932 жыл бұрын
Moss requires very little nutrients. Excessive fertilizer will damage the moss.

Hago terrarios cerrados desde hace muchos años, pero nunca una pared para musgo. ¿Podría alguien, por favor, decirme cómo hacer la MEZCLA PARA LA PARED? Gracias.
The soil is a mix of akadama, "burnt"rice hulls, and Fuji sand. When this gets wet, with the ground fir bark cover, it almost forms a porous fiber reinforced cement that holds the slope. The moss rhizoids (roots, but not really) will grow and can penetrate this substrate and further reinforce the slope. It will hold together even when it is watered. I'm in the US, I substitute ground-activated charcoal, ground peat, and a little clay into the mix to get the same effect. If you can buy the mix from the artist, I'd go that way, much easier than experimenting to find a mix that works. Support the channel.

@@itisjustmedude do you mean peat moss soil? Thanks
@itisjustmedude3 жыл бұрын
@@bobeardington4044 there are two types of sphagnum available, long-strand whole sphagnum, and ground sphagnum peat that I'm using. It's not a soil, more of a soil amendment.

What ratio of charcoal, peat, and clay do you use? I am also in the US and trying to recreate that cement
