Deuteronomy, 18:11 10. Let there be no one in the midst of you to cause your son or daughter to pass through the fire; Let no one practice enchantments or consult the stars; That there be no sorcerers or sorcerers; 11. that no one is found who engages in superstitions or consult the spirits; That no fortune-teller or anyone who asks the dead is found. 12. For Yahweh hates those who do all this, and drives them out before you because of these abominations. Jesus loves you, God loves you John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The main purpose of the battery is to go around your house to find the best signal spot (mostly close to window) once you get the best spot, you can now place your gateway in that spot and find a closest outlet to plug-in.

Great vid! Just installed mine yesterday inside my TV’s Media Stand hidden behind one of the doors. Have about 12 devices connected. In terms of connection and speed, I’m getting full bars with lows of 155mbps and highs of 340mbps down on average. Uploads are 11mbps to 65mbps. I’m guessing the lows and highs are attributed to the modem toggling between 4G and 5G. My 5G iPhone consistently gets 5G speeds of at least 450mbps down and 50mbps up. Wish the modem was just as consistently high. That said, for $50mo. compared to the higher prices of Comcast and Verizon I have zero complaints at the moment. Plus install and usability is incredibly fast and easy. Just plug it in and you’re pretty much off and running. Super simple.

Thanks for the review. I’ve been using this in suburban PA and am in an ultra capacity area. I’m getting 600-700 Mbps down and 30-40 Mbps up. Ping is about 35, so plenty low for gaming. Overall, my experience has been great. I’m only 10 days in, so will reserve judgment until it proves itself over time…

I have the 4g lte gateway. They told me I can not get the 5g gateway even though my next door neighbor has it. Been a customer for 3 months. Usually get around 50-70 down and 10 up. Sadly I live in a rural area so this is the best option for me. Only pay $50/month and out of curiosity I went to check availability for my address and it said not available even though I have had it for 3 months.

That's because t-mobile is trying to limit the number of customers they in a specific area and that's to make sure that they can always avoid data congestion and data trafficking to make sure that they can provide consistent service, so if it says that it's not available that means that all the slots they have in your area been taken already by other customers,what you need to do is to add your address to waiting list.

I've been running this for roughly 6 months now and about 12 devices and it's been great, I'm a gamer and have little to no issues and not enough to make it a habit. It's not perfect but any means and weather WILL affect it. I will lag with heavy storms and clouds. I mounted a CPU fan on the bottom to help keep it cool and even have a signal booster on my roof which helped mostly for upload. I have no options minus satellite and starlink and the T-Mobile Internet has been the best. I only average 50mbps down and roughly 2-6 up but I can game with little issues and download stuff pretty quick. I am wanting to try the new modem since you had such good luck with it!

Great video! I'm glad to see that it is possible to attached your own router. Even more glad that you happen to attached an Asus, since I wanted to ask: Does this mean that you can effectively use TMOBILE equipment as a MODEM only, and delegate the ROUTER functionality to a 3rd party device (e.g. Asus, with all its features)?

There are much cheaper ways to back up settings than install a battery plus the instructions say to use battery to allow roaming house for a better signal. Based on weight of the unit I suspect the battery is easily large enough to run it for 30 minutes or more if they would have just done it. Tmobile is is over selling these at least around here in KCMO. I lucky to get 3-4 mb and sometimes nothing.
@sean8102
@sean8102 3 жыл бұрын
@Brad Grant I think the battery is there so you can use the screen to find the best spot for signal strength in your house without having to have it plugged into a power outlet. And yea like you said it def dose not lose settings when power is lost. Any router will have some flash storage to store the firmware and users settings.
@zentechnician
@zentechnician 3 жыл бұрын
You were wondering about the battery and it's purpose. In some areas companies are required by law to provide x amount of backup time for phone services so that way in an emergency you can still call for help. Also if you have an older alarm system you don't want to be setting those off every time there's a an outage longer than a brownout. Wifi radios use a bit of power so my guess is they cut it off so they can buy cheaper smaller batteries and still meet the legal requirements. I think it's 8 or 12 hours of backup time here, you know in case you've fallen and get up etc.

I am an independent insurance adjuster traveling all over the country, staying in hotels and RV parks, usually with abysmal internet speeds on their wifi networks, and usually ended up using my phone as a hotspot. I thought this might be a great alternative, and boy, I am sold! I was getting a lousy internet connection using my phone hotspot where I was staying in Ga and thought I would try this out. Currently, the speed test shows 181 MPs download and 55 uploads. Before I got this, I looked to see if there was 5g coverage in my area, and the website said no. However, it sure seems to be getting these speeds somehow. I also looked up 5 g coverage throughout the U.S. It looks like the coverage area is extensive, and in all the places I previously have been and had lousy service. The ultimate test will be taking on the road with me and seeing if I get this incredible speed everywhere. I'll keep you informed.

New devices are verifying all the addresses you go to. My 5g hotspot was hanging on some sites, that I go to. Some sites are not fully optimized yet. Most lag is the site,and/or. ISP. My Roku runs full steam on shitty signal. Chrome same signal buffers. Amazon video buffers on my 5g signal sometimes. That's them.

Ah I didn't think about that, but yeah being able to walk around and use the built-in screen to see signal strength is def why the battery is there. I'm guessing it's very small capacity so wouldn't even power the gateway for long esp if it did leave the wi-fi on and was handling traffic.

Having used and and like it, here are the considerations. The good parts are....$50 a month with a CC on file. There are no data caps. Generally fast download ranging from over 100mb to slow at maybe 25mb at the very worst so far. Generally it just works once you find an appropriate window to place the router in front of. There is no equipment rental fee while you are on using it. Finally there is no contract. Also you have 30 days to test it and return it from the day you activate it if the connection does not work for you, but to repeat there is no contact anyway. The downsides are since this is 4g or 5g based and not connected by wires, the ping speeds are not completely dependable and there might be a drop every other or third day requiring a reboot. This could also be related to using a VPN at times too. But is no way is the delay on par with a satellite service, it pings yahoo with about 170ms response on average. However this probably isn't for competitive COD gamers or maybe people that work from home all the time and like every click to count. The modem itself is worth about $400 to tmobile so put it in a very safe place next to a window, or you will be out that money and they will want the modem back when you close the contract. You have to try different windows (the thing made of glass, not the OS) until you find a balance between a dependable connection and a better connection speed. The connection may require a little organized testing by someone who understands the basics of wifi. That control interface goes through your cell phone, but you don't have to wait for a service call either. The connection may not play nice with 100 percent of all apps, although that type of problem is extremely uncommon in my experience. If you like run with vpn on a pc that connection on that device may drop between 20 and 40mb's down. You know who you are if that makes you say no deal. The advanced options directly on the modem/router itself are very limited and vanilla. I think this is a great simple option and plan keep it as long as the download speeds are maintained.

Not a stable network .cellphones can stop or interrupt your service and expect no signal in bad weather and need to reset your router few times a week at least

Gosh! Up $10 bucks...? $100 + over the year. And what's a "Mesh" Network?
@austinhoneycutt427
@austinhoneycutt427 3 жыл бұрын
A mesh network is where 2 or more routers communicate with each other to provide one blanket of signal to connect to. A simple network relies on one box to send and receive every wireless signal. A mesh network should recognize when you move farther away from one point and hands off the signal to the point the network notices you getting closer to wirelessly.

@sean8102
@sean8102 3 жыл бұрын
I think it's because cell phone users upload a lot of data (pictures, video clips etc) to send to friend, post on social media etc, and I'm guessing there is less spectrum dedicated to the upload than the download so it gets overloaded easier. I experience the same thing with my AT&T 5G phone, upload is always much lower than download.
