Here's the thing, this has Comcast pissing its broadband pants. This means Walmart, with its partner, Straight Talk, will soon be offering a home internet service. Once that happens, all of the ISPs will have to lower their prices or lose market share to Walmart. Walmart has NO plans on being the world's largest ISP, they only want to give people yet another reason to use another Walmart product. And for those who don't know, Walmart was the corporation that forced all of the large cell phone provides to give customers Unlimited Data plans. When Walmart offered Unlimited Data Plans, everyone else gave up and said they couldn't compete with that. So they had to match the offer.

I live in a area which T-Mobile claimed I had too low of a signal in my area to have one of their routers. Even with only two bars of signal out here in the mountains I get almost 200mpbs consistently. It literally has been the solution to all my problems! Verizon had weird throttling problems, AT&T was way over priced, and west wireless was too slow. The T-Mobile solution definitely is a win in my book.

I'll begin by saying I'm spoiled by living in NY and having access to Fios 500mbps plan for slightly less than this T-mobile plan.... Great vid! Just installed mine yesterday inside my TV’s Media Stand hidden behind one of the doors. Have about 12 devices connected. In terms of connection and speed, I’m getting full bars with lows of 155mbps and highs of 340mbps down on average. Uploads are 11mbps to 65mbps. I’m guessing the lows and highs are attributed to the modem toggling between 4G and 5G. My 5G iPhone consistently gets 5G speeds of at least 450mbps down and 50mbps up. Wish the modem was just as consistently high. That said, for $50mo. compared to the higher prices of Comcast and Verizon I have zero complaints at the moment. Plus install and usability is incredibly fast and easy. Just plug it in and you’re pretty much off and running. Super simple.

I live in rural Washington State. We were paying Centurylink $40/month for an unreliable 4mbps. That was the only wired ISP we could get due to location, and that was the fastest speed they could give us. We finally switched to a local ISP who uses wireless access points to get us our internet, and now we’re paying $60 for 6mbps. While better and more reliable, it’s still slow and sometimes spotty. Plus, when the internet goes down over the weekend, we have to wait until Monday. Supposedly, my address isn’t eligible for Home Internet, but my neighbor across the street has it. After months of trying, I finally convinced T-Mobile today to let me get this even though my address technically isn’t eligible! Should be here in a few days, so we’ll see how it goes! For everyone saying the speeds are still so slow, when your only option is to pay more for slower Internet because you live rural, Home Internet is so incredibly appealing!

The way you can tell. Do you have good tmobile connection at your house. If so. Then the home internet will be fine. I'm rural. I have really good tmo at my house. They have 2 towers in the area. Over the hill from my area. No signal. I've had tmo for 10years. I just happen to be in a sweet spot relative to my area.

EDIT: Ended up switching back to Comcast, too many ping spikes on games and if anybody else is watching TV or anything online it makes games completely unplayable. Prices were lower on comcast after I canceled and am now getting 700mbps internet for 50 a month which is the same price I was paying for tmobile. On Fortnite I'm getting 60-80 ping average on wireless. Wired I'm getting 45-60 ping, with 50-55 being average. Speeds are 300-550mbps down 30-40 up. I haven't seen anything under 300 yet. Not bad for 50 a month. I have only had the router for a couple days so I'll have to keep testing it but so far I'm extremely impressed and am planning to completely cancel my Comcast subscription!

I tried T-Mobile internet in April 2021 and it was a no go. 6 months later coverage improved. I've had my TM internet running for a week now and it's been a rock solid 3 out of 5 bars which is great considering it's been storming every day. Speeds depend on the device. Oddly my newest 5g phone is the slowest at 35 mbps down and 15 up. All devices get the same 25ms ping and 15 jitter and no loss. Laptop and older 4g phone get 350mbps down and 15 up. I have 7 devices connected. The price has dropped to 50 a month and the T-Mobile TV dongle was included for free and works well. Since it comes with a promise to never raise your rate I'm going with it over my fiber connection with it's price creep. I'm in a new subdivision with 3 fiber options and I could play those services against each other but who wants to spend the time doing that. It's pretty much like fiber and the only thing that really stands out is web pages load a little slower. I'm a light gamer and I've had no problems. 50 bucks a month vs 70 that will increase with time. I'll take the 50

10yrs with tmobile. It will be that 50 forever, they are really good about grandfathering in. You will see increases in the plan prices. They never translate to existing plans. I cut the cord. 5 years ago when 4g got good enough to run devices. 5 g is great. I just bought the home internet.

@@austinphifer-tg9oo 15 for jitter isn't awful. It isn't terrible. Streaming is just fine. Phone calls are just fine. Gaming on the PlayStation is fine. I don't know where you got your info, but you really don't start having troubles with jitter until you hit 50 and even then it will only affect some things. I've been running this for well over a year now and it works just fine. They've worked on the pole where I connect 3 times. Each time they warned me ahead of time and each time service got faster. Not unusual to hit 325 and as high as 400 megabytes a second. A lot people don't realize that your signal doesn't travel very far over the air before it gets to fiber or wire. Kind of odd for this to be your first post after joining. I think it'd be interesting to know how many KZbin accounts you have.

We are researching for our Indie Game-Dev work. We (4) all live together and upload and download updates as our projects are in the cloud storage of Unity 3D. We used to used 400 - 500 Gig a month in bandwidth, but have worked to reduce it down to 160 to 200 Gig a month by manually updating folders on our hard drives using a synchronization app. We purchased 5 acres 75 miles out of town in the woods of Florida and it is off grid, so we need a mobile / remote internet option. Nomad is over $100 a month and it never throttles and we have the ability to get it on the T-Mobile, Verizon or AT&T networks. We purchased three Mint Mobile phones with 15 Gig each hot-spot included with our cell service for $25 a month X 3 so for $75 we get cell service and 45 Gig total mobile hot-spot of data. We can use our cell hones on that wooded property and they are on the T-Mobile Network. We purchased a used camper trailer to convert into a Mobile Game Dev Studio. We like to do a lot of Archery, Kayaking, Camping, Hiking, Fishing and Photography in our down time. We are also going to purchase 3 to 5 more properties around the USA to travel between. I will present your video to the other three to see if they want to try it out. We are hoping to get Star Link and one other Backup Option. Other states we are looking at land to buy. Texas Nevada South Dakota Tennessee Kentucky Maine We also have a 25 foot trailerable sailboat with a swing keel. We use this as a sailboat, but also as a Camper as it sleeps 6 people. 👍 Thanks Bunches for the Review Video ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hi all , looking for some quick advice . I have a friend I've recently started handling the cell phone plans for ( not normal for me ) , and they gave me contact info for their Verizon rep . I've been working with him for almost a year now , and I'm constantly having problems getting answers from him on basic things like can he confirm he put insurance on our plans and how do I utilize the insurance after a phone is damaged ? My question to you all is : how do you normally work with Verizon on things like activation problems on new phones and questions on insurance and such ? Do you have a client rep you ask , a special number to call , or how can I get quick and reliable results here ? What is the proper way to request a new client rep ? If I make the request , I want to make sure I don't end up still stuck with the same guy . I've already had a heart to heart with him and needing faster response times , and the quality dropped after that talk .

Network management" on the plan itself. So all the lines on the plan, the speed is managed by Verizon to work with all Verizons clients (it would slow down during peak times). We have an older plan that isn't throttled like that, and I don't trust my nonresponsive rep telling me it should be fine (but he won't be able to change it back)
