He cuts off the riff so sharply during the chorus, the first time I heard it, I thought the recording cut out unexpectedly. (Jesus, these Donington tracks are f**king insane. We need a little video of his right leg pumping constantly!)

Once again, thank you for uploading this, this is great. This isolated recording of Malcom Young’s part, is even further proof of his brilliance as a rhythm guitarist, if anything he sounded better live, than in the studio. And considering he played clean and without effects pedals, The Late Malcolm Young got some great classic rock tones with his iconic Gretsch Duo Jet Guitar and Marshall Amplifiers (although I believe at the Donnington concert, AC/DC used some Mesa Boogie amps). R.I.P Malcolm Young.

These isolations really showcase Mal's timing and precision. Along with the monster tone he had at Donington. After hearing this, TNT has got to be my favorite from Donington, hands down

WoW! … to me this is a revelation! First time i hear this iconic ⚡️riff-of-the-century ⚡️ like this! The second half of the figure Mal plays rhythmically differently than it is commonly known!

That looks like Randall amps in the back ground. They have that very tone. They sound so good. The solid state amps even sound good. I stopped using amps and run to house from my amp modeller but if I went back, Randall would be high on the list.

No he played marshalls through Mesa boogie cabs on that tour

@@zisisamp Yeah, I was just listening to this again and those are MBoogies for sure. On the original studio recording, I could swear he is playing a Strat. I play Gretsch myself with Power Trons but cant seem to get the tone tame enough to sound like their recording.

@@אריק-צ5ר yeah he had a very thin tone on the razor's edge album
