A not so secret here too. Trick; "IK's one" on the master two. Been doing it since the first version came out. Master 2 trick for those not sure = instrument busses routed to single track and side-chained to the vocal buss for ducking purposes. These days, my master 2 will have IK One adding some extra width, transient definition and bass pump along with light compression altogether. One is followed by a de-resonance plug set to side chain for pulling down instruments to make room for vox with hi/lo bandpass targeting only the vox mids. For me that doesn't mean soothe. It means TB pro audio's "dseq3". IK tape 24 "finish 15" on master 1 followed by a limiter. Keeping the vox away from a lot of instrument processing on the main master keeps it a bit cleaner and standing separate. At least, that's my current theory, lol. Hope that made sense. Cheers. 👍

There is something to say about having a wonderful track in the first place to master which just bounces along so nicely. I like to use a limited number of plugins which add something organic back into the track and removes that digital feel from it. I like stacking compressors until a natural thickness happens (glue) and removing harsh frequencies, getting all the bits of the track in the right place so that that there is a dimensionality to the sound in all directions. Brilliant session again 😃

This is a killer plugin! Pretty sure the left side are just EQ, right side bass punch is some kind of compression, and analog is essentially 'color', left knob is compression, right knob pushes into the 0dB limiter. And yeah, even at minimum it makes things louder. My sole real complaint about the IK T-Racks Max 5 v2 suite, is they all add about 2.5dB at nominal. They really should take a page from Brainworx on the universal frames with stuff like input/output level, trim, etc. That said, they're all super nice. Try slapping the One on a vocal or vocal bus for instant studio polish with zero effort. I mean, super tempting one stop vocal processor just try it.
