I have always felt that it's one of the very few compilation albums that doesn't actually feel like a compilation album.

Very Big thanks. One of the most meaningful albums of my life. Been tuning-in since a '83/84 as a 10/11 year old little fella. fantastic. time to buckle up in my spaceship (office cubicle) and fly.

Its taken me 35 years and so much music. . . for me personally, Bolan Boogie and U2's Joshua Tree are tied for best albums ever.

@@jakewalsh7220 Yes, the release of so much repackaged back catalog in the spring of 1972--including "Bolan Boogie" and the double album repackage of the first two Tyrannosaurus Rex albums, both of which hit #1 on the UK charts--severely bit into The Slider's sales. Stuart's post here confirms that suspicion.
