1- How have these guards worked out for your passengers? 2- In the beginning of the video, it showed you putting a cruise control on the FJR. How well does it work and what brand is it?

I ride a 2015 Harley Street Glide and really thinking about dealing it on a 2020 FJR 1300 in that beautiful blue. You have an awesome looking bike.

I like the extra guards. The company has the Gen 2 version (2006-2012) listed on the Gen 1 page and shows having to buy axle sliders with them. Those would look good on my liquid silver 2010 if I get them painted silver. Only the best for our trusty FJR's. BTW, Partshark has good prices on the panniers. Don't ask me how I know.

I bought the T-Rex Pannier guards and the T-Rex Engine guards for my 2006 FJR 1300 AE. The Pannier guards went on in 15 minutes. The engine guards already had sliders mounter on them (some kind of tough polymer). The powder coating is identical and they're all high quality. My problem is that I can't figure out how to get the cage guards on. There's something tricky with the faring. I've watched the T-Rex videos but I have to keep working on it. I will say that the construction of the 2006 is different from his 2018 and my 2006 was easier. I have to give a shout out to Pirate's Lair Motorcycle Accessories for their Stealth passenger backrest. ;> He's right about the footrests being uncomfortable with the cages on.....I'll have to solve for that. I've always had Hondas and you can always find a lot of aftermarket items for them (and Harleys). Not so many with the Yamaha FJR. .....but it's a great bike and much more exciting than my VTX 1800 was.

Great bike john and videos,iv just purchased an FJR,and being a bit short in the leg,did your corbin seat make it easier to flat foot the ground??
@ozarksbackroads548415 күн бұрын
Great to hear from you sir, I do not believe the Corbin seat made much difference as far as seat height goes but was much more comfortable on long days in the saddle... congrats on your new ride and thanks for watching... :)

@ozarksbackroads54844 жыл бұрын
Good to hear from you sir, I hope you get yourself a FJR soon. The wheels don't come with the stripes, I added those myself. You can check out how to do that here.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJC1m4poipeGaKc Thanks for watching and keep safe out there... :)

Installed their guards on my Versys 1K. Not obtrusive but extend just enough to protect paneers.

Well this is disappointing news but at least it came at the right time of the year. I hope Yamaha can get these parts to dealers in a timely manner so we can get the fix before spring... Thanks for the info sir... :)
