The Dogu Express has a touristic and a non-touristic train. The touristic one starts a little later so we got on the non-touristic one! Originally, we tried to buy the tickets independently but because we are a married male/female couple, we weren't allowed to book the same room. Seat61 suggested Amber Travel for assistance so we reached out. We were contacted by Olga almost immediately and it's because of her we got them! We got the tickets a day or two before we departed (which is normal with cancellations (Brianna checked the TCDD website constantly everyday for over a week looking for them)), brought a lot of snacks and prepared for the beautiful scenery.
The website we used to contact Amber Travel through:
www.ambertravel.com/buy-turki...
We also meet a fellow traveler who got her ticket on the train because of Olga too!
Things we wish we knew before hand:
1. We could have bought some extra ramen (they had plenty of hot water)
2. Get battery operated fairy lights, not plug in
3. Extra blanket because it will get super cold at night
4. Expect to be a couple of hours late
Overall, this train ride was probably our favorite part of Turkey so far!

About Us
We met in college and started a five year journey to graduate, get jobs, pay off student loans and save money to travel. After getting married we bought a one way ticket to Greece in July of 2021 and have been traveling around the Globe since. Living abroad definitely brings some unique experiences.
These laidback KZbin videos will be our way of keeping in touch with family and friends as we explore different countries, try new and strange foods (and of course pizza), and see how many times we can avoid airplane fares. These homevideos will be the only souvenir we end up with at the end (only because nothing else will fit in our bags).
Thanks for watching!
(pro tip: if you click on ‘settings’ on the youtube video and put the playback speed to ‘2’ it goes by faster!)
