okay so for the printed tropical shirt, i was visioning like cutting the shirt in half and another plain black button down in half and sewing the two halfs together to make a block pattern button down (idk if that made any sense lol)

Hey you two! So I have a question and this is really important to me! So I decided to change my bedroom and changed the walls from orange into grey and the carpet into wood floor. But I really DONT know how to arrange my furniture. I am out of inspiration and I don't want to move my furniture so many times. I would be happy if I could send a picture of my room to you and maybe you could tell me how I should place my furniture. THIS would be HUGE!!! I would be so thankful!!! Lots of Love, Cece from Germany❤️

Recently I've seen these blankets that look like mermaid tails, and you go in them sort of like a sleeping bag, and I really want one but they're $40 so I want to try and make it and I think it would be great if you guys had a DIY on it!!!! I think the first DIY would have turned out better with a back stitch (if that's what it called. After the first stitch you pull the needle through the back one stitch forward, then once it's pulled to the top connect it to your other stitch.)
9 жыл бұрын
+FenixDragon43 thinking the same!
@thereallockerelf9 жыл бұрын
+FenixDragon43 That's what it's called. And I think it would have been a little better if they had split the embroidery floss down to three strands instead of using all six.
@daneekaplan42849 жыл бұрын
+FenixDragon43 I thought that too
@ZymonB9 жыл бұрын
a back stitch will make it better but it will take them longer!
9 жыл бұрын
+Zymon B. with a bit of practice, back stitch is realy fast... Moreover, the stitches used for the embroidery is risky as you do not hold much of fabric and some point might disappear (as you "dive" and "emerge" at the exact same spot)

Hi girls, I always iron a piece of vlieseline (iron-on interfacing) on the back of the fabric when doing embroidery. It works great, it's a bit thinner than felt and you could even saw on your machine using an embroidery foot with it - or with hand, just the way you like it better. I love flipping clothes too. It's often more fun than buying completely new things. Thumbs up!
@Lykken21119 жыл бұрын
Loved the video, please do more thrift flips! :) I know the shirt probably isn't big enough, but as soon as i saw the white shirt with the pocket I thought of how chic it would be to have a pair of shorts matching the pocket, wearing both pieces as a set (maybe even with those strappy heels?) If the shirt isn't big enough, maybe you guys could get creative and do the shorts with a white backside and party in the front? I think the pairing of a white t-shirt and a matching set - the mix of casual and formal - is so cool! xoxo

Soo jealous of the printed shirt! The pattern looks sick! And just a tipp for future embroidering - you can use a stitching method called back stitch and it will make the lines a bit more flowy and "connected", and it's super easy :)

Try using iron-on tear-away interfacing for your stitching design instead of paper since it's softer so it doesn't crinkle and it stays in place while you sew but you can tear it off right after.

I didn't really see how you sew: is it the same technique as in the blanket ? Love this embroidery idea I was actually thinking of making one too! For your colored shirt now that you've trimmed it you could do a crop shirt and leave it like so, I like so much the print !
@TheSorryGirls9 жыл бұрын
+Marie Nardi we didn't do the classic embroidery technique like we did in the blanket just because we thought that would be too think for our small image. instead we just did a running stitch but made sure that there were little-to-no spaces between each stitch!
