Thanks for watching! I recently figured out a new weaving technique that looks really cool if you're interested it's a variation of the twisted weave. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaTHqGSnl8-Wjac

I woulda made it a point also- to add into the vid/info- to make your twists in the same direction each time… just cause that seems to be something kinda valid and important, tho I’m not an expert lol 🤷🏻♀️ i absolutely love all your step by step content tho!!
@Unorthodoll3 ай бұрын
That is a really good idea, I'm super anal so I just do that automatically and I hadn't thought about it. Might make a cool pattern if you alternate, I'll try it!

I was writing each step and I called it a downward facing loop. I agree the twist should stay consistent! ❤ Sweetie you did a SUPERB TUTORIAL! I left a comment on your Red Tshirt Triple Ladder Short because it went so quickly. May i suggest you add a little ditty at the end of the short that provides the link to the full slower tutorial.... For us not so savvy youtube watchers. I am 60 yrs young and you did a PHENOMENAL job with the instructions! And I watch DIY Videos ALL DAY LONG! Your instructions are 100%❤ Keep up the AMAZING TUTORIALS!

Folding the shirt in half collar to collar for an Evan cut. For cutting the back fold but grab just the back of the shirt and match the side seams together to make Evan straight lines but in half the time😉

I saw a video on Pinterest of a girl doing a heart shaped design, she weaved it all the way down and then weaved it back up, without cutting/tying it at the bottom, how do you do that?
@Unorthodoll4 ай бұрын
That's a good question, if I don't cut the string at the bottom I sometimes tie it off with an extra piece of fabric. Some people sew the ends. I'll have to experiment with it
@SalemsForgottenWitch4 ай бұрын
@@Unorthodoll thanks for the reply, but I actually meant tying all the way up and then, without cutting OR tying it off ect.. going back down, so like weaving it twice without cutting?

Do you actually wear these? How long do they last after they have been cut up? Is it actually practical to chop up your shirts? What fabric Tshirt do you use? 🤔🤔🤔
@Unorthodoll2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I've never had one rip or break, upcycling is sustainable, I experiment with lots of different fabrics mostly Cotton blends. Good questions!
@losthersheep7282 жыл бұрын
@@Unorthodoll is there a type of material you recommend most? I have a shirt I want to DIY, it's a graphic T but it's a kind of thick cotton stretch blend 🤔🤔

@@Unorthodoll awesome. I'm always so nervous that it'll fray like crazy and unravel, I'v seen some cotton knit fabrics get them little spiral fray dangly bits before if you know the thing I mean! :O
