Keihan Higashi Shopping Street is a long-established shopping district that has been loved by the local residents for a long time. It is conveniently located about 3-5 minutes on foot from Keihan Doi Station and about 5 minutes on foot from Taishibashi-Imaichi Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line and Imazatosuji Line.
The shopping street extends about 110 meters east-west under an arcade. It houses approximately 19 stores, including grocery stores, eateries, fashion and miscellaneous goods stores, and daily life services. The shopping street is known as a place where you can enjoy shopping while having pleasant conversations.
Keihan Higashi Shopping Street, along with the adjacent Keihan Shopping Street, Doi Shopping Street, Asahi Shopping Street, and Nakadori Shopping Street, forms the Doi District Shopping Street Association, which carries out various activities for the revitalization of the shopping streets.
They also put a lot of effort into holding events. For example, they hold the “Doi Night Market” in the summer, where many stalls from each store line up, offering food, games, and merchandise. This event is so enjoyable that it attracts visitors from far away.
As a unique initiative of Keihan Higashi Shopping Street, they also plan and implement seasonal festivals such as “Spring Festival” and "Winter Festival".
