I think you and I have a lot in common. Around the age of 8, I got pushed away from Thomas, but secretly came back in 2014 and found stuff like EE93's series. Even my primary merchandize was TWR, with a few ERTLs.

Why do I get the feeling that your proposed OC Buddy was inspired by Buddy the Elf from the movie "Elf"? Also, I had a feeling that your narration style was inspired by Alec Baldwin. He certainly gave a sense of humor to the series, especially episodes like "Lady Hatt's Birthday Party", "Busy Going Backwards", and "Cranky Bugs".
