i use my lawn mower 36v battery with a step down DC/DC converter to 12v ... 16awg or 14awg is enough , look at my 36v pack here : kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqm7n2RuoNGLp5Y

LOL this was my first test with a 3s5000 lipo , floating in case of emergency 🤣 now use closed cooler with my mower 36v pack +DC step down to 12v

affordable & reliable Foward/reverse ESC are hard to find : the one offered from BlueRobotic remain the best fow/rev option ? i chose to go with a simple HobbyKing Plush 25Amp ... but you need to avoid weed cloging, not having revers to unclug
