Cool project. You might want to avoid hard protruding objects on the deck though. The stand up handle bars might be nice to hold onto, but they're a death trap if you fall. Rather have a cable connecting your accelerator (or use BT if you really want to cut the umbilical chord) and use a tilting rear foot plate for both stability and steering (covered in foam like surfboards). It will be harder to master, but infinitely safer. Also, jet ski's and surf boards only come to life when they plane, so leaning the craft is your better option for steering. I assume the 'periscope' at the rear is the snorkel? You might want to wear a helmet if you ever ride this thing again.

As a lifelong surfer I love this but if you start with a wooden board it would be easier to attach stuff. Electric skateboards have a pistol controller with no cable. Your body conducts the slight charge. You could turn be leaning which is how surfboards are traditionally turned.

The brush cutter does not have enough torque for this large propeller. I would have used a smaller propeller or reduced the pitch of the propeller. Brett runs so slowly that a higher pitch is not worthwhile. I also heard from the engine noise that the engine was extremely overloaded. It is a 1 cylinder engine which means that it increases torque significantly when it turns faster, so it fires much more often and can better compensate for the resistance. This is achieved by reducing the pitch of the propeller.
@bubblerings4 ай бұрын
Needs a curved shaft on his wacker. The 45 degree angle cannot go fast. Needs to face straight back. Then, figure the prop pitch and size. Yes. It would go much faster..
