I personally loved the way Technoblade revealed his face ( Rest In Peace Techno). He wasn't a facecam streamer, but when he showed it, he didn't make a huge deal out of it. He even mocked the whole concept, by doing the whole ellbow reveal thing. It fitted perfectly with the way he usually acts.

I think one of the best face reveals I’ve seen is from the odd1sout. He did it in a random q&a video and showed his face for like 5 seconds answering a random question and it was so fast that when I saw it, I didn’t even process it had happened. He didn’t make a big deal out of it and did it before he got really popular. He got it out of the way and didn’t let people run wild or get expectation too high.

Honestly, if Wendigoon had a lot video editing, then the charm of his content wouldn't be the same. It would fall into a genre of heavily edited, low attention span horror covering content. It would also be hard and time consuming for him to add such effects on pretty much all of his videos, due to them being detailed explanations that are long by nature. I find the simplicity in his videos enjoyable as it points my focus on what he is actually covering.

Wendigoon is just podcasts for people who aren't into the podcasts and just wants to make that similar minimally visual style but as a solo presenter. and also with a skew toward horror pasta content but, we all know And that's cool. Sometimes people want a longform they can do house chores to and he's here for it. If people want more intense visuals and heavy edits, they can look for another thing. Nothing stopping em. I don't watch him personally myself but, sometimes he's just there for a certain mood, so, that's where I'm at. Not shaming or recommending. he just be.

When you reveal your identity to the internet, you're essentially killing off the "mysterious persona" factor that some fans have for you. Once you take off that mask and show yourself to the world, these people will most likely turn on you because you don't fit the type of person that they imagined you as.

The best face reveal is a silent face reveal. If your face reveal doesn't make much noise and if you don't use your face in your videos, then people will slowly forget about it. Max0r is a great example of this. I've already seen his face multiple times but I don't remember what he looks like.

One of my favourite KZbinrs Sumochkin made a face reveal, which i was delayed to watch. I was thinking "Why would you do that, there is no reason to do this" Eventually i watched that video and was like "Huh, it was not that bad as i imagined that would be. I love making live action skits, which really sucks since I really want to avoid showing my face online. Some people seem like they are able to thrive in this environment while showing their faces, and I think a big part of it comes down to avoiding any sort of hype up about events that expose your face, and treating it more as a normal thing that you've always been doing. It can still be risky though so I unfortunately don't see myself doing it for a while. Good vid
