I was converted to Hisense when I was looking at SHARP Aquos top tier TVs. I was told Hisense is a cost friendly SHARP TV from the salesman. I didn't believe that could be true. Boy was I wrong. I bought the H8G series and the contrast, color avcuracy, depth and the local dimming (true deep blacks produced by backlight Ai) was out of this world. It blew away most LG and Samsung displays I looked at. Even OLED didn't have much of an advantage over this ULED Hisense TV. Then I bought the U6G series improved version. I may need a psychiatrist. I can't understand why Hisense is such a superior technology when it costs so little. Now I witnessed your review of the 214 Hisense sound bar. I was looking at the LG SK1. But the Hisense blows it out of the water.

in the bluetooth mode , how do you get the sound bar to "auto wake" when you turn the TV on ? instructions say "source" button with the volume "plus" nothing, so everytime I turn on the TV I need to turn on the sound bar and let it sync ?

I think the auto wake only works when it's connected through hdmi, optical or 3.5mm. Regardless, the source + vol up did nothing for me as well 😅

@@TroubadourJuggernaut yeah Bluetooth is ass on tvs. Audio cuts out, manually having to turn it on and connect it is just a hassle. Just use HDMI, better audio output.

Hi, between Hisense HS2.1 with a built in subwoofer and Hisense 2.1 without a separate subwoofer which on should i purchase. 2402w both of them

How is the dialog/vocal quality of this soundbar? Does dialog come through loud and clear since it has no specific dialog access mode button on the remote? Thanks! ♐

Came for the HiSense, impressed by the Arcam Soundbar. Maybe I should get that one instead.

Haha. The Arcam is old and a lot more expensive though. Moreover, I'm not sure you can ask get them anymore.

My Hisense hs214 soundbar led is stuck in HDMI ARC mode. I can’t switch to other sources eg Bluetooth, USB, AUX or OPTICAL mode. Whenever I power up, it goes to HDMI ARC mode, I have tried using a remove or touch on the item to change source but still experiencing the problem. Please assist if you have a solution for this problem.

Hi, I don't have the Samsung to compare but, just looking at the spec, the Samsung don't have the down firing sub? So I would choose the hisense.

I just bought this soundbar and am using it in Aux mode. I see in the user manual that it has Auto Wake, but I cannot seem to enable this. The manual says press Source then Vol+, but for me it just changes the source then increases the volume but does not enable Auto Wake. Do you have any experience with this or suggestions for me?

I can confirm it doesn't work as I've tried.

The Auto Wake mode works with CEC, therefore you need to connect it to your TV with an hdmi cable. When you turn on your TV it'll wake up along with the TV.

@@carldrogo9492 Thanks. I have an Android TV box plugged into one HDMI and use that to as the input. Thats why Im using Aux to get sound to the soundbar. Should I connect an HDMI cable as well? I expect the TV can only operate one HDMI port at a time but I might have to test this - do you know?

Would u recommend this soundbar to pair with the hisense a7g 43inches feel like the tv lacks sound everything else I'm happy with but not going to lie I was disappointed in the sound compared to my old Samsung tv which sounds much better

Depends on the price for this now. To be honest any sound bar is better than the tv built in speakers.

I bought two HS214 sound bars and both gave me the same error with in a month or two where the red light is on standby but the sound bar will not wake up unless you un plug it from the wall and plug it back in, I was using HDMI ARC.I heard from a good source with in Hisense that they made about 100000 faulty HS214 bars where the capacitors overload after some time and the input source gets stuck.

How do you feel about this soundbar after a month of using it? Looking a “cheap” one I found this one and your video. Nice review!! Btw, like someone told you in comments, your voice is hardly listened. I should recommend you a better mic or some after edition. I was hearing in laptop and with and iPhone and iPods Pro.

Thanks for the information. It's weird because I recorded everything with the rode videomic ntg so should be OK? Anyway if you check the update for the description, I've had to replace it because it developed a fault. Luckily I bought it fairly recently so not a big deal.

@@Imspir3 There are numerous free apps to create your own music of any type. Create something with punchy bass and sizzling highs. Just let people know how much they could expect from a sound bar of this size.
