The healing on the San Martin is actually even more ridiculous, if you manage your health correctly it will refuse to die. The only problem with this line is that it's not entirely damage focused, but unlike the Japanese Cruiser line it isn't entirely useless since you have utility as well.

That isn't a problem. That is a breath of fresh air. We need more lines that aren't damage focused. The European DDs in Blitz aren't damage focused unlike the ones here

I think it is a good thing. HE shells can be annoying and increase overall damage potential. But AP is just better for this line. You want a target to be alive while filling the funny button. It is a perfect brawler.

I played just T8 of this, not yet used to these exotic names, but out of early few lessons that turning with enough broadside harms for 30K at least upto devstriked. Its gimmick makes you stimulated get maximum of its guns-fast superheals. Best match I had was not by damage done, but with 2,1M PD with T8 Col. Bolognesi surviving 2 Pommerns, one of them under its secondaries rain. Once I failed to get gimmick on or was close to death, I fled to wait cooldown do the job. Already waiting for those to come in normal access, enough ship XP to get "Satander" xd. (my comment as soon as late watched vid)

The gimmick is very misleading. It only buffs your cooldown while it's active, meaning the actual buff isn't as big as advertised. At T8 and 9 the 80% reduction turns your 180s cooldown into a 36s, but since the gimmick only lasts for 30s, the last 6s turn into 30s, so 60s in total, as such, your actual buff is closer to 66%, but since it's applied to a nerfed cooldown to begin with, the buff over a standard 80s is only 25%, and depending on how long you take to charge the gimmick, it can easily turn into either the same cooldown with extra steps, or a disadvantage. It's more useful for the radar, since that has a longer cooldown than the heal on normal cruisers, and also for the DCP, since that one isn't nerfed to accomodate for the gimmick.

It’s actually a good thing. You want your target to be alive ASAP. You need to fill up those combat instructons to the maximum. Over pen makes this ship fills combat instructions to the fully charge when it shoot on the DDs. This line is what it’s called a Zombie Ship. If your dev strike failed. It will come back to life.

Even San Martin's AA is worse than Worcester's at every range, plus you can't use DFAA and hydro in separate slots, so I'd stick to AA Worcester. I use mine with Leg Mod so I always have DFAA ready when the CV tries to strike me, works pretty well.

@@liro.2552 Most games these days don't last long enough to make use of the HP recovery capabilities. I prefer high DPM over tankiness. You might get stuck in a fight for minutes in this thing with no real outcome and your team might collapse around you.

Tankyness is it's primary advantage, but you don't have raw power of the 203mm AP on top of below average DPM and you still need to "charge" your gimmick to have fast cooldowns
