To be fair,blue lost to a fact of not having hand cannoneers shotgun(59 units of handcannoneers in 1 group),good hand cannoneer micro can destroy 1k+ units with only 59(1 group) of them,so that would directly counter goths barracks spam,though you have to own a mastered split focus on your ECO and military to pull that micro off preety nicely and constantly produce

Really good game Red! If you end up watching this, just a small tip: create more farms. From mid castle age until basically the end of the game, you had thousands of spare wood and were often lacking food (to go to imp, create army, research techs).

I think red is a bit meta gremlin with his build orders etc but lacks basic stuff. For example he did massive damage but produced 0 villagers in the meantime with 3 TCs. His idle TC time is huge because of that. If he had produced while raiding he would have had an even more massive lead going to the late game. Blue I think is more balanced in his sevenhundredness.

How to produce vills while you are actively raiding / fighting ? I honestly think that's the hardest thing to do in the game - personally, how do you do it ?

You go to your Town Center (either by “go to Town Center” hotkey, “select all Town Centers” hotkey, or you click to the minimap where your Town Center is located) and press the “create villager” hotkey a few times (with Shift if you have tons of food). It shouldn't take more than 2-3 seconds. You can also have your Town Centers on control group which allows you to select them and create villagers without moving your screen away from your soldiers. Red had bad eco balance for long periods of the game, I noticed several times that at least half of his villagers were on wood which is rarely a good idea. Multitasking is tough. Not being able to multitask properly is a mistake which everyone makes. Being slow and/or passive is another common one. All players make mistakes; the less mistakes you make, the higher your elo is.

H selects all town centers without changing the view (if I'm controlling army I still see them). q creates a vill. I do hqhq periodically even if I don't have the resources or houses etc, it's muscle memory.

Go to playlists and check out the Low ELO Legends vids - if you scroll through there's some extremely low level games. I think in the early ones he also gives more general tips than he tends to these days.

I literally just played against this guy (HardKnocks) 😂 When I loaded into the game I was like "Wait a minute, I just saw this guy on T90 recently" and sure enough I did LOL. It was on Mountain Range. I went Teutons he went Franks. I beat him pretty good. He went all in on knights but I countered with Teutonic Knights and he wasn't able to do much from there. I also had total control of the middle resources so I was able to get a lot of castles down and he didn't contest it at all.

There needs to be a moat technology in castle age that surrounds castles and kreposts with a moat to stop rams and melee units from being able to attack them. Surrounding a castle with a moat/ditch is basic castle strategy and is extremely effective in totally neutralizing rams. As for melee units, they should be nerfed against castles and kreposts and towers anyway. It was never a thing in history that melee units would take down defensive structures or walls. Also pretty ridiculous how fast they can take them out: Melee units can take out a castle or krepost or tower faster than a castle can shoot them down. It's like, why even bother building castles in imperial age? Imperial age should also automatically add a gunpowder attack to castles and kreposts and towers in addition to their arrow attack.

I actually seek advice regarding defense against mass archers in feudal. Scouts and skirms work ofc but since archers don't they go castle first into crossbow snowball. What would be the play to hold or counter?

Wall up make skirms. You just need to get farms up asap to get up to castle age quickly, yeah the archer player isn't spending much food but they're also not gathering as much.

Blue may have thought the Archery Range was purely to click up to Castle and not for production, Goths aren't (in)famous for their archer rushes and they don't get Thumb Ring or Arbalester.

I'm not so sure the not attacking with the feudal age scout is much of a learnable lesson. You have to learn that your scout improves at combat, and that improvement wasn't demonstrated in this game.

The W goes to Steppe Lancer in chat for calling that out. They are high elevation so they are hot. Higher elevation literally equals cold. Watching the weather, if they say high pressures it will be cold, if the say low pressure it will be warm. Something I learned recently, just info. I always wondered why in the winter its ALWAYS windy but in the summer there NO wind. High/low pressures is about the amount of pressure that wind/air is being pushed. High pressures means wind will be pushed at high pressures, therefore; the air moves too fast to get hot. Low pressure mean less air movement which allows the air to be hotter. This is why you can have an 80 degree day that feels good or 80 degree day that feels bad. If its actually 70 with low pressures it can feel 80, but if it's 80 with higher pressure it can feel 70 because wind pressure changes the temp.

Hey, I like the weather so I wanted to help out with a couple of things here :) High pressure means the air is denser, low pressure it's less dense. Higher pressure air is warmer because it's more dense, lower pressure air is cooler because it is less dense. Think of an aerosol can, if you continuously spray it the can will get colder because you're lowering the pressure inside the can. Lower pressure is usually wetter too because colder air can hold less moisture before, so it turns to rain quickly. Because warm air can hold a lot more moisture, when it meets an area of cooler air it can create big thunderstorms as the warm air is quickly cooled and turns the moisture into clouds. Wind speed comes from how quickly the air pressure changes between two areas of different pressure. If an area of high pressure and an area of low pressure are very close together you'll get very strong winds along at boundary between them. Hope that helps :)

The denser and less dense thing is just a property of hot and cold and doesn't have to do with why the actual weather is hot or cold, its just a byproduct of it being hot or cold. Type high pressure low pressure weather in Google you will see that it has more to do with where the pressures are. Like a refrigerator, sucks the door closed because the low density cold almost acts like a vacuum, but that not why it's cold, its just a feature of cold.

Paused early on. T90 if you see this. As a non AoeII player that loves to watch you and other content creators. I would love a map where fast and effective army switches is rewarded. How would that map look? I see a long map type amazon, where certain res is farther back. If enemy attacks with men at arms, fall back and you can easily create archers. Then the opponent falls back more and they can easily create counters to archers. Is that possible? Is that just me as a non-player dreaming?
