This is my genuine doubt. How can such great gurus not be Brahmacharis? To have such abilities, one need to be Brahman himself. And to be a Brahman, you need to be having Brahmagyanam, isnt it? And to be such a powerful yogi, one need to be a brahmachari. Only then would one get the luxury of the "meda nadi", and thus will be capable of perceiving such ancient abundant information. Also, even for one who follows the practice of bramacharyam, they must have a guru to attain the knowledge of certain kriya which slowly takes your physical and non-physical body to such greatness. I wonder how this man here attained such abiliteis even without being a Brahmachari in the first place. Could someone explain this?

@@stephena1156 Bramacharyam is a practice that is followed by a true brahman. It includes many practices like having a jhala snana (head bath) every day to cleanse oneself with the grace of water, following a tamasik diet (mostly vegetarian), performing certain rituals to cleanse the etheric body, abstaining from sexual activities, etc.... It consists of many such practices. One who practices this strictly for 12 years straight will develope "meda nadi", a nerve that is described in the texts which ables one to perceive everything. However, one should have never known a woman to become a brahmachari. One with a meda nadi is said to be the peak of human wisdom. One who is a brahmachari is equal to the Brahman (god of creation) himself. By becoming a brahmachari, he now has the wisdom to elivate his life to a greater level. It is just a tool to get moksha (eternal liberation).

@@stephena1156 Look, I am none to explain brahmacharyam as it is. I have'nt experienced the benifits and effects of Brahmacharyam as I am not a brahmachari myself. The information that I got is from various sources. I just asked for a clarificaton to the people who know more about this. I had wrote what I understood from what I read and heard about the topic, so that people who know better about this can correct me mentioning the specifics. And about the family man, we can see a mixed opinion on this. Some say its okay to be a family man and practice "brahmacharya", and some others say its not possible. However, there is this concept called "runanubandhanam". This is the karmic bondages that you get yourself into by having such relationships. To get moksha, you must not have the sense of "aham" (me\ myself). You must not identify or associate with anything, but with nothingness. Nothing is everything. It has a whole new perspective in itself. You must be not having any belongings, since you are now trying to not identify or associate yourself to anything. By being a family man, you have the sense of belongings and you develope that karmic bondage. Also, yo may not be able to maintain your discipline for 12 continuous years since you have other needs as a family man. You may drain your Vajra. Vajra is the key to build the meda nadi. The final stages to the gateway of mukthi is to be empty. While you are a family man, you build up those bondages which would add up to your karmic vallet. This will only restrain you from the eternal liberation, which is your soul's soul desire (as mentioned in Bhagavad Gita). Thus, from what I have understood, one can't be a brahmachari being a family man. For example, Lord Hanuman was married, but didn't have any children born out of his seed. However, this narrative was an exception here. Likewise, if you are married and dont let out your seed, you can practice brahmacharyam. However, its not possible for one to be celibate and also be married at the same time in todays world. One may develope urges which can overwhealm them in those conditions. Also, one may not be able to set themselves free from the karmic bondages of such relationships. Thus, not being a family man serves you the best chances to become an akhanda brahamachari.
