Wa aleikumussalaam. Sister I think that the author of that book is Imam An-Nawawi, if I'm not mistaken. That book has been translated to english also.

As Salaamu 'Alaykum Sheikh, I notice that all the books you are referring to here are in Arabic. So am I correct in assuming that one needs to have already learnt Arabic before starting this Taalibul 'ilm Series? I am taking classes for Classical Arabic right now, but should I not start hifdh of the Quraan before reading these books? Should I wait until I have mastered the language first?

Wa'alaykumus Salaam, In our courses we even begin with the students who have little to no arabic. Its just a matter of finding the right course from our seminary for your level of learning. We tailor each course for the learning levels of the students.
