Well the movie name itself is Animal. So it is expected that it will break the barriers of society or even crossing boundaries of morals or whatever. Ranbir was amazing as an actor. I appreciate the art!

Sandeep reddy vanga is a visionary and technically strong filmmaker , the way he uses drama with best taste in music by making audience to watch for 3hr 21min in a theater clearly shows his significance in screenplay and craft since its also shows your narrow brain only focus on so called toxic masculinity btw its a character driven story with A certified what can you expect more.

The story is told from the old Ranvijay's perspective. What is wrong in seeing BGMs whenever he things he is being sigma. Honestly, this belief that films should take society's responsibility is so stupid. You have good films to get inspired from if you want. Doesnt mean that fms should not be made from the perspective of a problematic character. For the audience that cant even see that hitting a woman or murdering people is wrong, then these people are doomed anyways. Also, kids can get inspired to do wrong things from movies and that is why this was an adult movie. So that people who are mature and have formed their basic sense of morality are the ones watching it

I know people in the comment box will start justifying Animal movie. I just want to put my point forward please let me know if you relate. I am not against action films infact I am a big fan of vidyut jamwal and some of his films. I am not somebody who hate violent films. But unfortunately when I watched animal film I had this sheer disappointment and strange feeling. In any action film there is a Protagonist and an Antagonist. It is films responsibility to stablish Antagonist or situation in such a way that the violence seems justified to the viewer. In the whole Animal movie there was no such thing. There wasn't even much focus on the antagonist and there were no such dialogues or situations that creates enough hatred towards him that violence seems justified. Whole film is trying to justify the Ranbir's action through his father ignorance which in my opinion was failed attempt because me being someone who have faced such thing can not relate with Ranbir's character at all. Ranbir ended up being a rich bratt who had many tantrums and alot of power which he eventually misused and even after all of this he barely suffered any consequences. His mindset towards the society, women and people in general is deplorable and after watching the film the first thought that came to my mind was 'this guy need to see a psychologist'

Not every character has to be relatable and every human being reacts in a different manner in the same situation in the movie itself only Ranbir's character had issues with his Father. The film title is Animal to showcase the animalistic trait of the protagonist with the plot of father son relation in gangster background. Protagonists will do anything to protect his father he will even bend his own morals so obviously 90% of people are not gonna relate to the movie except for the father-son relation. Also Ranbir's character had consequences heck the movie starts with the consequence he was drinking in the morning with his cousins obviously he is not happy, by the end of the film he has lost two senses of his body, his father is still gonna die(technically not his consequence) his sister is angry with him for killing the husband most probably his nephew want to kill Ranvijay as well, he lost his wife and children and just like his grandfather said this cycle of revenge would never end A butcher is coming to destroy his life who knows how many family members he is gonna kill in 2nd part. This heck list of consequences man.

​@@akhilr024 everyone is talking about 'father-son relation' and how he had 'isues with his father' all of this is a great concepts but very purely executed. I hardly felt any sympathy for him and his loss, also i found myself sympathising with father. he was not violent just because of his father's he was just finding a way to get his anger out. he was basically enjoying everybit of killing. when you stablish all of this before even making us introduced to the Antagonist and trust me i hardly had any hatrd towards antagonist as till then ranbir had crossed every line. Rajamauli rightly said "action can be technically beautiful to look at but if its emotion does not make you root for the protagonist to make the world burn infront of him then its not effective enough" . i respect your opinion that you enjoyed the film i didn't and tried breaking it down here.
