I would add to that list Kahuku Corn, ONO!! I was born and raised on Oahu, but after retirement, we moved away to Arizona. We try to go home every couple of years, but Covid threw a monkey wrench into that! Hopefully, we'll get back soon ... I so miss Hawaii's foods!!

Thank you for sharing all of these! The Lunch Plate had me drooling, 🤤 but the Shaved Ice with the Calamansi (Philippine Lime) flavour mixed with the rest, had me REALLY hungry! Calamansi is one of my favourite citrus fruits, and I would definitely wait in line to try the shaved ice you both got!

I always love your videos, guys, especially because I've lived in Japan and hope to head back to live there long-term. However, I never thought I'd be able to go to the places in your Hawaii videos, as I had no immediate plans to go. Well, now my wife and I are planning a trip to Honolulu in a couple months, and I am very happy to have your expert guidance on places to eat while we are there. お疲れ様でした!

Ululani's shave ice is my absolute favorite. Wanted to share with you how I was told to pronounce li hing. They told me the ng is actually silent so it sounds like li hee. If you find out different please let me know. I haven't had the pleasure of going to Liliha bakery but hope to next time. I also love the Snow Puffy at Paalaa Kai bakery on the north shore.. Mahalo for another great video.

I was born and raised in Hawaiʻi and lived in Tokyo for 5 years)(, and everything you had are my personal favorites, too! The only things I would add are the poi donuts at Liliha Bakery and baked manapua and shumai (pork hash) to go with your chow fun and custard tarts for dessert! My parents also liked the ampan at Liliha Bakery, so maybe Satoshi might like to try it next time.

My go to at Rainbows is the hamburger steak plate or the Portuguese sausage, eggs easy over with chili on the rice. For poke my favorite is Tanioka’s in Waipahu. Love their ahi and tako poke, great musubi’s there as well. They have a good okinawan sweet potato haupia dessert. Been going to Sekiya’s for over 60 years, the original shop was on Kapahulu Avenue back in the day.

I love kalua pork and poi, the fatty pork with acidic poi balances really well. When i come to hawaii, first stop is rainbows to get a teriyaki burger and fries straight from the airport 😅, i agree with the 711 spam musubi, sooooo good! I enjoyed tako poke first time i tried it. Theres lots of places in hawaii ive yet to try, but i make a list of the foods i want to eat, everytime i come.😂 theres lots of places to eat and i always tell friends coming to hawaii to always ask locals the best places to eat, as they know the underated places to go to 😊

We had a place called Aloha Hawaiian BBQ in my city of Columbus, Ohio but they closed a few years ago. It was some of the best food. I ate there 1-2 times a week. Spam musubi became one of my favorite things to eat along with Japenese beef bowl and chicken katsu. I never did try the Loco Moco which I regret now. lol. I miss this place so much.
