Every time you visit Okinawa, I imagine myself there enjoying the sun, waves, sand, lovely people, interesting culture, and great food. (It also makes me very nostalgic for Hawaii.) It never ceases to amaze me that in Japan one can eat healthy, delicious food from konbini 24/7. I loved your choices that were unique to Okinawa. Also, I loved the Ryukyu Glass Village and Okinawa World with its amazing cave. Thank you for a wonderful video! I love to see you enjoying yourselves. 💜💜

Okinawa has a special place in my heart and soul, because of Karate Kid and Slam Dunk's Ryota Miyagi. 🥰 And this video is HOME! Satoshi and Shinichi finding lots of convenience store comfort food in a beautiful place--- it's life at its sweetest, while seeing that part of the world through the eyes of them both. 🤤 Oh! The answer is YES. Did it on my Tokyo visit 7-11 even stored food later for any late night craving. My comment is that while you might not get top quality, the quality is above average and is pretty much better than what you think. Especially if you learn how to shop combination of foods. The game changer is splurging on proper condiments and seasonings to add more taste to your pallet. Why do this because it'll stretch your money

Guys, welcome back to Okinawa! August is both hot and extremely busy all over Japan. Obon season in August is one of the busiest holiday periods in Japan. Many people are traveling. I also highly recommend cold noodles at 7-11 and Lawson, very tasty. Another tip at the okinawa world cave, you saw the long stairwell at the entrance. When you exit from the bottom of the cave back to the top to exit the cave, there is a huge escalator there, no walking required! Take care!

For expats, you might have pointed out, the 7 Eleven in Chatan has slurpees! So, it is an Okinawa only. It was forever the only 7Eleven in Japan with slurpees (yes, they have Cola Slurpee), but now there is another. I heard that the 7 Eleven across from Foster base now has slurpees but I have not been there to confirm that.

I think these videos are always helpful en interesting, as most people coming to Japan won't have a kitchen in their accomodation, so are more dependent on the convenient store. The oogi chichen rice looks delicious! Perfect for a hot day. I should try to make it at home. And love to try the shikwasa drink. I had gummies with that flavour once and I think senbei, and it was delicious!

In East TN (USA) we have a similar cave that you can tour. It’s called “The Lost Sea” and actually has a lake inside! You can take a boat ride on it. They have never found the bottom of the sea.
@bethdk73284 ай бұрын
It is also made of limestone. We are taught “stalactites stick tight to the ceiling and stalagmites might make it to the ceiling” as an easy way to remember the names of the formations in the cave.
