I don't have any good links for you but people who were on the Travel Channel for food shows like Andrew Zimmern and others, will tell you how the industry and channel has changed a lot since we were younger. There's a reason there was a noticeable decline in such shows. I'm sure there's a good youtube documentary on it, but it's very interesting. Thankfully, great YT channels like this are taking their place.

This is by far one of the best food documentaries on KZbin right now. You show much respect for these amazing people who work together. It's a deep exploration of culture, an appreciation for life and the things we take for granted. The content and the work you put in speaks for itself. As a chef in Canada and an admiration to culinary diversity. With all due respect you have filled that gap Anthony left me with. Thank you for this channel Sonny. Seriously.. at this point I feel like Prime, Netflix or Discovery should step up and offer or something. Please don't lose your sense of humor, your drive and your beautiful bandana...

Not only does Sonny do a great, entertaining show, he somehow manages to capture the soul of the people living there in a way that you would not expect from a food show. I really get to feel what the people, culture, and country are like, experienced through their food. It's a truly spectacular and deeply connecting experience.

If you told me that I'd be spending hours on end watching a loud, bandana-clad American on a world food tour, I'd have called you crazy. And yet... Honestly Sonny, you are one of the most sincere, genuine, open, fun, passionate, engaging hosts I have ever seen on KZbin. Please keep doing what you're doing. Sorry for judging a book by its cover when I first scrolled past your recommended vids. My bias was completely unfounded. This is amazing content.

It’s crazy to me how people still generalize so much about Americans. In the US we have racism obviously but we aren’t as xenophobic and we don’t judge people from where they’re from.
@genuinetool Жыл бұрын
@@BreathOfDust I'll absolutely cop that criticism on the chin. Sadly the last few years of US culture and politics have left a lot of us baffled and appalled, but it's not fair of me - or anybody - to tar everybody with the same brush. My comment was partly a reminder to myself that I should not judge people by a bandana and a loud voice as that's incredibly narrow-minded of me.

This for me epitomises KZbin, it's so entertaining! Dynamic, enthralling content with so much variety and fun along the way. Beautiful food and even more beautiful hosts! Thank God I got rid of my TV! Hats off you sir 👌

I've been a big watcher of your channel for quite a few years. This is, by a long way, your most outstanding content. I'm loving the slightly more serious, Sonny. Long-format video; in-depth analysis of an area; quality over quantity, awesome guest; a little bit more serious...your sweet spot, buddy.

I love watching your videos! You impress me with your ability to try anything. (I know I would not try a lot of the foods.) I am 1/2 Japanese and have never had a lot of these things. Keep the videos coming! ❤️

You know this series is like a year old? I'm genuinely confused why they put this out when its been out especially when they do a full docu usually when they finished the original series

@@Smallstrawberry-123 go ahead and give me a sub then maybe you'll see some content soon. Also while yess I see where you're coming from. He has a group of people so he's not alone just slightly confused by the delay in the fully stitched documentary. While this series is very old most every other series had a stitched docu right after. So while I understand why they do it I don't see at the same time why it wasn't already done before
