Daily Yamazaki is a convenience store we’re not too familiar with so we had fun trying things from here. Let us know which one was your favorite!

The way you describe the nostalgic burger reminds me of our California school lunch hamburgers from the 60s-70s. They tasted more like grain than beef.

That was a nice, cozy video! Everything you tried looked yummy. The Kakiage Onigiri and Cream Chiffon Cake were my favorites. Also, I think I'd really enjoy a vegetarian version of the Daily Hot Pizza. An "all the onigiri" video sounds like fun and wonderfully informative for anyone who'll be visiting Tokyo soon. Love to you both 💙💚, and Happy New Year to you and to all your subscribers!✨🎉✨

Thank you for sharing this end of year feast! For me, the fried mochi looked the most delicious. Although I love most foods from a conbini, the more traditional foods are my favourite. Makes me remember foods that my Japanese mother-in-law used to make when we first moved to Japan in the ‘80’s. At that time there weren’t many western style foods available. Thanks again for sharing. Looking forward to your New Year’s Eve live stream. ❤❤

Guys, happy new year. Unfortunately we don't have any Yamazaki stores in okinawa. On my 3 trips to Tokyo this year, they have a store inside the Haneda Innovation Center close to my hotel. Their baked goods are good, especially the breakfast sandwiches. take care everyone

Happy to see smaller combini chains getting some love at the end of the year. Can't wait for the Mini Stop episode because there is one near Inaricho station that I go to that has an awesome hot food and onigiri section. So good!

That onigiri looked very good. I want to learn to make that tempura. I think i would like the cream cake too. And the mochi. Love mochi.

The bread store well i don't know if that is the same store but when I went to Japan I came across a place i refer to as the bread store because they literally have dessert breads, savory breads, and much more. I stocked up on a couple of different types of breads from a pizza bread very similar to what you are eating and some cream filled bread, dinner rolls, bread with seaweed and placed in the small hotel fridge and had lunch , dinner , and breakfast. So can't wait for a whole bread review video. Eating at such places like 7-11 saved me so much money to spend enjoying the sites of Japan

Daily Yamazaki is underrated for sure. They've never really tried to expand like the others, but they have been doing things their own little way in the best way possible. One thing to note is that some of them aren't even open 24 hours a day, especially in the rural areas.

Is Daily Yamazaki secretely the best Konbini? I would love to try that Kakiage Onigiri in particular. Looks fabulous!

There should be more Daily Yamazaki in Tokyo. The food looks really good. Yes you can fry tortillas if you make it fresh it's really crispy. Saya loves it. I usually put a black bean and sweet potato filling in it, but I'm going to try putting a sausage in it sometimes. I would try the shrimp katsu sando. You don't often see sandwiches with the crust still on in stores. And the kakiage onigiri. And everything mochi has my name on it.

When you talk about the 'ear' on bread, you're not crazy! Loaves that are scored have a part that sticks up and gets brown that is called the 'ear' :)

Thank you for all you've done for us in 2024, I'll look forward to your adventures in 2025. Also a ranking of the spaghetti with meat sauce sounds like a great idea!
@melissalambert761514 сағат бұрын
Like the onigiri with tempura. I like to make spaghetti with meat sauce so I'm pretty sure I'd not like any market version. But you are welcome to try them all. I've don't think of desserts being part of your cultural food picture. But you showcase them often. Is this a newer thing? Newer as in since say 1990s? Not cookies or sweets, but full desserts.

20 years of regular japan visits and I've never had a problem, level of care in japan is different, it's not like in the west at all, I was concerned about food sitting at room temperature but it's fine.
