As a man I think the worst thing you can do is match a woman’s energy. There’s no good that will come from that😂😂😂

Facts 💯. Because my brother and his wife give me the blues. 😭😭😭😭. He just doesn’t get it. But he knew she would wild when he started dating her. 😂. My husband will not match anyone’s energy unless he has to lay paws on you and even then he will calmly lay you down 😂.

Sometimes I don’t know if peoples know how blessed they are to have a spouse to go through life with, or maybe spouses take each other for granted sometimes. As a woman who has never been married, raised two kids mostly on my own with the Lord being my covering. I have a son 20, and daughter who’s 19. It was not an easy road raising them, but God. I do remember some good times along the way, I wasn’t always crying through the journey. In the end, God answered my prayer for both to graduate High School. They on their paths and I still ask God to lead them. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 However, from my perspective I know marriage would have been better. Two are truly better than one. Some married women say, they feel like a single mom. My response to that is, they should get out their feelings and truly thank the Lord they are not a single mother, knowing that husband is a phone call away, and always there. 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

Two are better when it's ordained, but many married women are living suppressed, oppressed lives. Who told you husbands are always there when we call, willing and able to be supportive?? I've been demeaned and insulted for calling my husband when a pet had died AND when our newborn was in the hospital. Don't speak on what you have no clue about and are merely romanticizing.

You don’t know until you have been in that situation, being married & still doing it on your own is worse. Having no partner is better than having a toxic partner. Then you have even bigger problems. But when it’s the right person it’s much easier & worth it of course. But people who never had nothing will accept anything & I promise that is no way to live.

I have seen the "potential" in him before, after, and during marriage. It wasnt until I had our first child that I realized he was never going to change. The way he treated our son as an annoyance. I would never want him to see that as his example or to treat anyone like that. I move everything and served him divorce papers. Been happy and less stressed ever since. ❤

Side bar: I remember being at Casey Treat's church a few backs and he and his wife had got into it. He was speaking about leaving in a marriage. And like Lis said, he mentioned when you do that, you are sewing a seed of leaving. So in hindsight don't leave.

No, that’s MEN. You see, without being misogynistic-most women think differently than most men, and when emotions are high, they tend to act only on those emotions. A man will usually be emotional, but still have his logical reasoning still working behind the scenes. The default for men is usually protect the family.

Having these types of moments does not mean you have a dysfunctional marriage. Some people never have them and good for them. But others do. I actually think the person was trying to relate to you and you sat there as a "believer" and called them bitter instead of clarifying why you said what you said the way you did. They probably just misinterpreted you. I had a fiance who broke my heart and immediately moved on when we were struggling and asked for his ring back. Had another almost fiance that I was trying to build a life with and that had met my entire family use me for things and betrayed me. So it happens a lot and ofcourse it can happen to anybody but Ive seen this with many of my friends. Men seem to move on faster but im aware I dont know the statistics. Gotta stop using God as a weapon and actually encourage folks. It can be traumatizing and have nothing to do with bitterness. Geesh! I actually pray for you to see your wrong!

They really didn’t answer the question on if they thought their marriage was a mistake. They just gave an example of one time when they were beefing.

I’m not even married but have been a what I think “lengthy” relationship and I’m like maybe we aren’t meant to be because of what happens but I also still believe we are but we MUST get pass the things we keep going through.

Some marriages are self-inflicted hazards. Oftentimes, people choose mates that God would've never chosen for them. It's human nature to question decisions, but I believe that marriages that are ordained by God are unquestionable.

If god or the universe brought two ppl together then it’s not a mistake. You’ll have issues and misunderstandings and the like. But you’ll pull through them all !

Hats off to the husband who also saw the value in therapy within the marriage not after the divorce ! Often as women we are the only ones willing to commit to therapy and trying to make it work but it really takes two!

Child that story is so true. My husband and I can relate so much. We both don’t like the pettiness, but once I shut down and stop talking it’s over 😂. But we laugh about everything once we are back to normal. We are not selfish in understanding one another so working through things have become much easier over the years. We are 11yrs married ❤❤❤❤ 15yrs as BestFriends 🥰🥰🥰.

Because they require vulnerability. A lot of us think we have it bc we're empathetic but very few people have access to this.

You should aways be friends in the beginning I believe how you begin makes a difference. We have been married 43 years we show respect but we lack the friendship and we love each other but we are not in love with each other. No point in leaving now God has kept us.

The love and level of transparency in this conversation is amazing and much needed. I’m divorced and there was a lack of willingness to fight and respect but lessons in this I’ve learned. Thank you for continuing to have this conversation so that we can all have healthy relationships.
