The Striker Liverpool side could represent Graham Souness, David Johnson, Terry McDermott, Jimmy Case and of course Lawro, who all wore those iconic tashes during the late 70's early 80'. Brilliant produced content guys and girls, some slick edits in there. Would love to see the talented Nikki give a Striker player painting tutorial in a future episode as I would love to customise one of my old teams but don't know where to start? I don't believe Palitoy produced my team within the team series of the late 70's. Well done all! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Subscribed!

Nice vid!, brought back some great memories. Subbuteo was the game of my youth, all my mates played it, although me & one mate had it to a fine art!, he had his pitch mounted on the right chipboard, with the fence surround (similar to your clips). We had some great games, we both had most of the accessories, used corner kickers for the corners, throw in figures were a no go. My board was pretty good, but not the correct wood. Heavyweight figures were by far the best, and you are right, the painting was inconsistent to say the least!. Zombie figures were better painted, but the players lacked the control. I must have had 40-50teams at one point!. Nothing beat the excitement of buying a new team. Makes me want to do it all again, happy times. And nice vid, once again.

Thanks Gary - a fun read. Try to catch the Nov Edition. There is a comparison among 12 different Subbuteo Player types with some interesting results. Have to agree with your HW choice but learning to love the foibles of the others too! Keith

Why have I never found this before?? tbh Super Striker was m first love, so adored this! Striker found its way abroad to slightly different variants, Manifoot, Goleador Derby and Kyle Rote soccer. Worth a look! Great stuff guys!!

I believe the version I had was Kyle Rote soccer. I am from the States. My brother and I were the only kids around who had the game. We played it for years until we broke most of the players from their bases or hit their heads a bit too hard trying for a super goal.

Had the 5 a side express game in the day.Not the folded version. Used to play in a league was great fun. Think one of the best products ever made by subbuteo.👍

Er...one small problem with Striker: because of the way the players are positioned, every goal scored should be disallowed for offside...

Hi just come across your excellent show. Bringing back many happy lost spent hours of my youth. I had a great dice game call logacta football chart soccer. Do you have this in your collection if so will you review it. I know not technically a table game but felt it was a classic game where you could play all leagues and cups and maybe worth a mention for the retro heads as it was always advertised in Shoot back in the day. Keep up this great channel. Cannot wait for next months edition.

You're right in so much as we do focus on table top football games but we do plan to cover 3 board games and Logacta is one of them simply because they were so popular. I hope we'll be filming them next month - just need to get a gang of us together to play :)

Sometimes...That is because he goes on a script, and has everyone stick to a script as opposed to being authentic. One reason his kids want nothing to do with the show and avoid it unless forced to. He tries to be Peter Upton, but without genuine knowledge, most of his dialogue is stolen from The Upton site... but with mistakes.However in this case the teams portrayed are correct.
