I’m pretty impressed that you are able to do one video with 2 different sponsors that seem like sort of competitors but you were able to seamlessly incorporate both of them into the project in concert with each other.

Totally!! It's been on the to-do list for 2 years, ever since I moved in 😂. I have some fun ideas though, and will definitely make a video about it. I'll be using that basketball flooring to floor the barn, so I'll definitely figure out something before I have to bring all of that upstairs!!

Yeah, I know Jay Bates did sort of an elevator in tracks and I personally have a cable hoisted lift to my attic that I built. I’d love to see the Jackman version of this.

When cutting out the letters it looked like one tool path was with the an compression bit then followed up with a 60 degree vbit to freshen up the inside corners? Did I see that correctly?
@JackmanWorks Жыл бұрын
Correct! It was an 1/8" compression bit doing the bulk of the cutting and then the 60 vbit to hit all the corners

This is awesome! I've tried to stain wood/epoxy combos before and it's always ruined the epoxy by staining it. I do use the same total boat epoxy you use in this video. Did you just lightly sand after applying the stain to the wood to removed the stain on the epoxy? Thanks!
@JackmanWorks2 жыл бұрын
Luckily the water based stain is a lot thicker than the oil based (I haven't tried this trick with the oil stuff) so it's easier to mask off section and also easier to clean up any spillover later (you can see us doing that at 10:08), so scraping it up with a really sharp blade was our solution for that
@SMPLHobbies2 жыл бұрын
@@JackmanWorks Awesome. I'll definitely check out this stain.

Hey Jackman I've been following channel for years it's always entertaining and inspiring. I wanted your opinion about that planer. I've been holding off but I want to move on and get one. I really thought I wanted the DW734 I see you have the DW735. its a big purchase for me and I struggle with making the dissensions. I probably cant go wrong with either one though. Anyone here can throw your opinion it would help.
@warrenwerks2 жыл бұрын
Although I haven’t used the 734, I have the 735 and have been really happy with it. I think it’s a more rugged design and has a few extra features. Personally I think it’s worth it for the 735, but you’d probably be happy with either one

You've got to make a little (or big) dumb waiter to get material up (or down) to the shop easier. I wonder what a giant wood basketball would look-like? Or a bowling ball? (huh, apparently that's what they were made out of originally - though lignum vitae was the preferred material - yikes).
