Nice cabinet build and thank you for the free plans. I have the SawStop PCS and opted for the 36in fence as I never really used the extra space on my 52 in cabinet saw the SawStop PCS replaced. I have been tossing around ideals about how to go about putting a cabinet under the Table extension and utilizing the industrial mobile base that I have my saw sitting on.

Love it. Loved your in person camera interaction. I think if the table saw cabinet and the drill press cabinet the two big storage opportunities. Nobody uses the space under those places. The other thing I think about is the deep conflict I have between getting the 36 inch or 52(?) inch extension wing. Shop space versus panel cutting. I think about the sliding table too but it’s tough especially if you leave the left extension on or take it out for the slider. Shop space seems to always win and track saw comes to the rescue.

I had the same question. Thank you both for asking and answering, respectively. I have the 52" extension with the ICS base, so I would have to modify these plans a bit. I also don't know how often I would want to move my saw, but the base is designed to bear that cantilevered weight.

Hey Alex, Great plans. It's the next build for me. I can see while you were drawing it out you designed a cut list (layout of the various pieces on the plywood sheets) for for whatever reason they are not included in the drawings at Rockler. Hi Alex. Plywood is a nice material to use, but there’s a company called Valchromat which makes a coloured MDF, which would have saved the spraying. Oh, and some Kaizen foam in the draws wouldn’t hurt either, instead of just chucking the stuff in them - you’re far too neat to be doing things like that! 😉 Also, I have no need to use the idea, but the saw blade storage is genius. As always, nice job 👍

This is the first video I’ve seen of yours. The content is great, the presentation is great, the videography and editing are great…. But that garage door, you have to do something about that garage door! It is in the background of soo many of your shots, and it is such an eyesore. Slapping some paint in it, or covering it with something more attractive would really help, as is, it is very distracting taking away from an otherwise fantastic video.

I finally got around to building a cabinet under my saw. No fancy place for my blades since I really only use two blades 99% of the time, finish and flat ground ripper..But I finally have a better place besides just throwing everything on the far side of the 52" saw top. 4 drawers with full extension slides, 3 short, 1 deep.. 2'x3'.. I'm actually thinking I might get sort of organized.. Nahhh! That'll never happen..

I've been wanting to build a cabinet for under my SawStop for about two years now and am finally getting around to it. One question I had that wasn't really mentioned in the video nor the plans, how much material is needed for the project? I see the "materials cut list", but it doesn't really talk about overall materials needed (i.e. how many 4x8 sheets of 3/4" ply?). A cut diagram for the plywood would be nice too, for instance, which piece to cut out of a full sheet and in what orientation to best maximize the sheets and minimize the waste. Lastly, your website estates "Writeup coming soon". 😉
@BevelishCreations
@BevelishCreations Жыл бұрын
It takes just slightly over one sheet of 3/4” plywood (needed a little bit extra for the third pullout tray). and one sheet of 1/2”, and half a answer of 1/4”

I am in the process of building this and am confused by the dimensions for the vertical box on the lower left. It appears that the opening is 8" W x 21" H x 23.5" D. Yet the box that fills the opening is 6" W x 19" H x 22" D. Even allowing 1/2 " for the hinge width and 3/4" for the false front, there is 1.5"W x 2" H x 3/4" D in empty space. Is this correct for the way you built it? I'm tempted to change the opening to 7" wide and gain an extra inch of drawer width for all the rest of the lower drawers. It's too late for me to change the height as I've already cut the 19" x 22" vertical drawer "bottom". Otherwise, I'd change it to 20.5" instead of 19" to gain more hanging space.
