Thanks Thanks! These tutorials are great. I love your enthusiasm and as a carpenter and woodworker am excited that these tutorials focus on this aspect of 3D modeling. I have been using another popular 3D drawing program to design and model wood framed structures and can already see that Shapre3D will solve some of my most frustrating drawing problems. I'm looking forward to working through the rest of the tutorials. I'm hoping you will clarify the constraint settings in a future video.

Hi I see you are using Spece Mouse (3D Connexion) Would it be possible for us to mod the original 2button to become left and right click?
@rakly347Күн бұрын
Yes, you can customize everything. Changing the buttons to left and right click can be done with the software. On MAC most of it can be done with the software On Windows and Linux: For more customization you will have to manually edit the xml file for the app you work with. You can make a configuration xml for any program you want. The compatible programs on their website are just the ones they have preconfigured xml files for already and work out of the box.

Thanks a lot, just stumbled over your account today. Now i just binge watched your Beginners Guide and feel way more informed about Shaper3D. I already used it before to design Frames for Glasses but it never seemed to work out how i wanted. Thanks to you i now feel like i can take the right steps to get to my Goal instead of trying to sprint the endproduct. Also you are a great teacher

Another great tutorial and thank you because you've single handedly helped me learn this software. If i may request in the future a video on how to make curves? Not so much rounded edges but like kirf cutting plywood and bending it style curves. Looking forward to the next one, cheers!

I have a cylinder and would like to map a projection on it, but the sketch is linear, can I bring the sketch to the same curvature as the object?

IMO you really need to be more minimalist with the video editing. Interesting what you did with the edge banding, I didn't get it at first.

I am using Shapr3d on iPad and follow your example: When drawing a sketch with a construction point on the origin, unlike you (@3:01) who lock the point manually by clicking the icon, I don’t get the icon and that point gets automatically locked and the entire sketch get consequently locked too. Not only I don’t seem to be able to prevent it but nor I can unlock it afterwards. Same happen when drawing a sketch and then dragging it with a point to the origin. Add to this, despite selecting both “always show constraints” in the constraints parameters, nothing shows to says there is any constraints, but when trying to move/modify the sketch I get the message “locked sketch can’t be moved”. What am I missing? Drives me crazy as it doesn’t make any sense.

I'm new to 3D modelling and have watched more videos and tutorials on various 3D modelling software than I can count. Fusion 360 has been my go-to, but playing with Shapr3D has been a game-changer, and there is no going back. The most useful part of this video was the way you explained and demonstrated the use of constraints. None of the content creators for Fusion or SolidWorks explained the use of constraints the way you have.... subscribed!

I came across your channel when looking for Rubio Monocoat content (your media unit build) and subbed for the artwork you make. Normally I would have chosen black to compliment dark build as it's usually a safe option but the yellow was a fantastic choice

You demonstrated how you make a cut sheet with ur model's parts. Is there a way to export or print a those with all the part's dimensions? Like a blueprint? I don't work with CNC, but having those specs printable would help as I mark-up a board for cutting. Appreciate ur videos & nice design work. TY
