As a modern defender myself, I am left in amazement at some of your rallies. One push error from your opponent and you immediately have a ball you need. Especially that rally at 2:57 was amazing - twiddle, backhand topspin close to the table, a quick twiddle back and a forehand loop with a hail Mary of sidespin from below the table. That was impressive. I am also amazed by your ability to be able to chop with Dignics. I ocassionally chop from the inverted rubber myself, but I am using way slower Donic Baracuda rubber. Chopping like that with Dignics takes a great technique. Color me impressed indeed. And Victas Curl P1V is in my opinion the best long pips rubber there is. The key difference for me is that you can easily give backspin to pushed balls and flat serves. Before this one I was using Feint Long II and let me tell you it was way harder to generate backspin against flat shots. There was almost no backspin in those shots and once opponents usually missed the first ball of this sort assuming there was backspin, they started pushing into my pips a lot more. Unless I twiddled for those pushes I usually ended in quite some troubles dealing with the next powerful shot. Anyway, as I said, I really like your style, keep up the great work!

Twiddle? Where did he do that? It was not twiddle. The victas rubber has got enough grip to do that backhand flick and drive.

Would you suggest to play this long pips with 0,5mm sponge for more control?
@teaelldee2 жыл бұрын
Andres, I always enjoy watching your table tennis defense. I play a modern defense style too. And you compliment that style with a very potent offense! That way your opponent can't just do a lazy push or you will attack it with a fast loop. That's modern defense at its best! I've been using Donic Spike P1 long pips. It supposed to be similar to TSP Curl P1 but with more control. I may have to try the Victas P1V. Have you tried Dignics 09C? Just curious as it's supposedly super spinny with a harder sponge. Keep bringing those videos Andres. They are super inspiring! God Bless.

Thanks Terence! I appreciate your comment. I haven't tried Dignics 09C but I am tempted to, however I really like 05 so maybe in the future I'll try it out.

Hi man! Thanks for your recommendation. I didn't like it at first but as I continued to play with it, it felt better and better. Now I'm seeing that my chops are getting lower, deeper and more consistent.

Saludos!

To clarify: Butterfly Joo Sae Hyuk was discontinued, but Nexy Joo Sae Hyuk wasn't, it's quite new and available in many sites.

In all honesty is the newer p1 by victas any different apart from the increased cost per sheet to purchase. ? I've just picked up an old tsp curl, don't believe a name change would be any different... I might be wrong.......hmmmm?
@andresrafael16212 жыл бұрын
It is different, it seems to me that the pips are thicker in the TSP and you can generate more spin and variation, however the victas has a lot of control. Anyway, that's just what I've felt.

@andresrafael16212 жыл бұрын
Hola Matias! Saludos!
