I didnt know zhang jike was so intelligent and highly capable trainer. I guess you absolutely need it all to become grand slam champion. Perhaps even such dumbass as me would improve under his training.

If you understand what is being taught, your game will just go beyond any level you can reach [If you cannot understand] , the student has not grasped the concept fully, If you see Zhang Jike legs , both are in same direction which allows him to loop on extreme backhand, If you dont do that , you can only loop in center or to the regular backhand which can be easily blocked. Only when it is extreme bachhand, the block will come back to your backhand and you are in perfect position to loop another powerful loop anywhere you want. Also, this is extermely tiring to the legs so you can only do a set of 10 or 20 at a time. but is worth the effort.

imagine; You are a chinese national team member and somebody is saying "you cant teansfer the force, do not just push, curve it. You feet are not in good rhythm, you must use body more.

I think he refers to the movement of the pivot, and going straight forward instead of to the side after you hit

No, he talks about the arc (of the ball when we create a strong rotation)

@@Garpoon1 3:53 the curve he is talking about is for the footwork. not about the rotation of the ball. the player need sto move diagonally back and to the site like a curve line. and then he needs to land on his left foot. thats what zhang is talking about going forwards after the curving pivot motion

Hard rubber don't pair well with hard blades,that's is the reason.

@@heydanijel1735 Chinese rubbers , especially hard Hurricane, requires hard blades , but Jike here uses Dignics09c, that's why he chose a softer blade
