Nice review Chris. I got this library recently too. Agree with everything you say. I personally love it, though would have been nice for you to talk about switching to now tea for the cross fade which gives you a very realistic velocity script to make up for the 2/3 dynamic layers. As you said if there were more layers though it would have been to the determining of the library as it’s very detailed. Recently learning to use it in a few projects as I’d say there’s a small learning curve. Though I’m finding that mixing this with another library is the secret weapon. I’d say the score for this library is Violin: 6.5/10 Viola: 9/10 Cello: 8.5/10 Overall I’d say a solid 8/10. I enjoy it more than Tina Guo stuff but I’d say Tinas library is more usable in most applications.

Hi thank you for this excellent review, I'm currently trying to hand pick and find a nice Viola for my string quintet setup that I am building. I'm thinking about investing in either this viola or the Fischer viola from embertone, which one would you hold the most realistic audio quality? Thanks in advance!

Can I ask what would be your favourite solo cellos? I need one able to do fortissimo legatos with little to no vibrato.

I really enjoy using Tina Guo Vol. 1. However if you need legato without vibrato check out vol. 2.

It is paramount to inform your viewers if your review is independent, eg you paid for the product, if you got it for free or got money or any other type of consideration. There's nothing wrong with these scenarii, as long as your viewers are aware of them. IMHO, it belongs to basic disclosures.

@Christopher Siu Sure and thanks for reviewing them for us with a different perspective. IMHO Tableau sounds quite a bit synthetic, but it’s just probably me. Also I was able to pick LSS Aria Solo Strings for $59.99 on special deal from $299.99 (their legatos sound impressive and amazing) and SpitFire’s Solo Strings (in a bundle) with quite a lot of articulations and compare them with Tableau sounds to check how OT fare against them, and the best thing is their intro price.
