Very enjoyable game, loved the banter and the additional dimension of the Tank Slugfest. John's DAK Infantry moved so well to get so close to the Crossroads... On another note, heated marital discussions at home concerning possession of the TV remote have long since abated. I just take my lap top/mobile and move to another room. Here in Sydney, Monday night is Tabletop CP TV night, crisis averted. Thx Guys!!👍

Great game from all of you, the tank duell was awesome. These tanks are tough, more entertaining than a big cat against the Sherman.

Tabletop Generals it was quite interesting to see Shermans be the dominant tank on the board.

Great match. Good to see a four person match being played. This quarantine stuff is kicking many gamer groups right in the belly. No motivation to be "out and about". Fight on! No surrender! Withdraw... pfft! ;)

Awesome game guys - really love seeing Big CoC! Hope you do more of those. This time definitely worked better with using the longer side of the table. Also good to see the mortar battery make an appearance - you guys don’t normally bring those! I seem to remember you were looking at some house rules to keep the battery from firing quite so often. If I remember correctly you were only going to let the battery fire for effect on a roll of a 1. Firing the ranging shot and calling the battery could still be done on a 4 or 1. I’m not sure but it looks like you activated the FFE a coup,e of times on a 4. Also have been meaning to ask you - what video editing software do you use? I’ve been toying with the idea of doing some videos, but am not sure what software would be easy to use, as well as easy on the wallet.

Great looking and enjoyable game Travis, it goes to show how good the Sherman was in the desert. I’ve never played big Chain of Command before, but seeing this I’ll have to look into it, my only question, how would it work with a random draw to see who activated, with double phases working as normal.
@tabletopcp4 жыл бұрын
I am not sure what you mean by random draw. Like sharp practice?
@BattleBunkerHQ4 жыл бұрын
@@tabletopcp yeah for example, the two American players have say two red flag cards and the German players have 2 blue. Shuffle them all together and draw one card, which ever colour it is get to active a normal phase.
@tabletopcp4 жыл бұрын
BattleBunkerBlog Gaming Group I think that would make it too easy to get essentially a double phase. A 50/50 chance.
@BattleBunkerHQ4 жыл бұрын
@@tabletopcp yeah possibly or if you each had your own numbered card instead. Still a good game to watch 👍
@markburford35314 жыл бұрын
Great game, enjoyed watching! Never gamed with these rules, why does the attacking player not have more units? I’m thinking mainly with the tanks, they have the same amount and they are worse?
@tabletopcp4 жыл бұрын
Both players start with a base platoon but can add units through support points. The attackers get twice as many support points so do have an advantage.

Looked to me that the Barrage decided the game. Did you not allow the M4 to move out of the barrage?

Enjoyed this one and first time I have seen CoC with four players. Looked really fun. I followed up on the comment by the American Infantry player about the under powered US Rifle Platoon. I think I figured out the error and this is something we can do in Bolt Action. IMO it is an error by TwoFat Lardies to place the BAR as a Team Weapon within a Squad. That should be a belt fed M1919A4 with a three man team with M1s (Page 93 in CoC Rule Book). I think it is also a typo on page 94 for the Parachute Infantry Platoon, see Heading Squads One and Two, LMG Team, should read M1919A4. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M1919_Browning_machine_gun#M1919A4 Also by allowing at least one BAR man in the Rifle Squad of Eight, you begin to equalize the firepower to a standard German Squad. HOUSE RULE (For Me): US Army Rifle Platoon Sections at back of CoC rules modified as follows: Squads One to Three Corporal, Junior Leader armed as shown on Model LMG Team Rifle Team M191A4 Eight Riflemen with M1 Garand Three crew (M1s) Up to Two Men can equip BAR Option: Two men may be removed from a single Section Rifle Squad to form a Bazooka Team, prior to deployment. Anyway, just some thoughts. Thank you.

I am currently part way through a couple day long big chain of command battle involving 4 platoons on a 7 x 5 foot table. 2 German motorised infantry platoons with an sdkfz 222, one each of a panzer 3 & 4, a PAK 36 & an infantry gun, Vs A French chasseur platoon with some static defense (mines) and a sniper, alongside a British motorised infantry platoon with a couple of bren carriers and a 2 pounder cannon. The mission is a hasty defense, with the Germans as the aggressors (surprise surprise) It is the 4th battle of a quasi-historical campaign set in and around the farmsteadings of 'Les Cendrieres' a few klicks sou-sou-east of Stonne in France 1940. Living the dream.

The table was enlarged from the typical 6 foot by 4 foot. This table has two removable army trays on the ends and by leaving these off add two feet to the length

The US Infantry isn’t too weak in my opinion. Two senior leaders v 1 German Snr Leader. Then M1 semi automatic Rifles v Bolt Action rifles. And bigger squads. They are a match for a PzGren Platoon any day I think.
