I usually use a “dry-brush” technique to apply the whitewash on my adobe buildings - building up the color in contrast to blotting off. The eventual finished product is pretty much the same, it’s more a matter of what technique you prefer and are used to using. And since I had pieces laying around, I used square shaped balsa/bass wood for the roof supports - either shape works. And lastly, for some reason - probably so I could put a fig in the door or window to shoot out - I mostly leave the doors and windows open. Again, YMMV and both styles look good. I’ve used my adobes for Wild West/Mexican Adventure, Indian Mutiny, Pirates, FFL, and tons of other genres - you name it, they are really versatile. These vids are great resources and references for folks to view.

Good stuff Dave. Haven't used the mi wax technique yet. Really like how you put the doors and shutters together. I tend to build them then attach. But your technique looks easier, quicker, and better.

Dave - those are truly amazing buildings. If you hadn’t said so on the video, I would have thought most of those ones you showed at the end were kits. The idea of using beads for the pots is inspired - guess I’m off to Hobby Lobby!!😁😁

I’m hoping to do a traditional set and a more sci-fi, stackable set for Necromunda outposts either underground or out in the wastes. Loving the build videos.
