Looks great! I had the same problem: It was just sitting there because I was intimidated by it. I forced myself to start and it worked out :-)

Now I just need to take that mentality and paint the rest of my sea of grey :D

Don't feel bad, it's been on mine since the game came out :D Bite the bullet and get stuck in! Honestly it seems intimidating but it's really worthwhile getting it done

Very nice and effective walkthrough. I’ve been eying the AK47 enamels for some time. MyMiniFactory had a Christmas sale that resulted in a spontaneous purchase of all of Mödiphiüs’ Fallout sets. 😅 Printed the iconic Corvega sedan yesterday as a weathering project and scenic piece.

Oh nice! I actually got the Vertibird and am currently printing the watchtower for Elder Scrolls :)

For larger figures. Do you recommend painting the base first before gluing?
@MisfitHobbies3 жыл бұрын
Definitely, especially for the likes of the sentry bot it would’ve been tricky to impossible for me to reach the entire base if it was already attached. I’m doing the same for the Elder Scrolls Dragon mini. Just makes access easier when painting :) Just be careful when painting the main mini if painting separate, make sure it’s securely but safely attached to something so your fingers aren’t covered in paint :)

@@MisfitHobbies thanks for the fast reply! Also I should obviously avoid paint in the mounting holes where the miniture glues into, or else the glue will blind to the paint right??
@MisfitHobbies3 жыл бұрын
If you do get some there don’t worry too much :) you always get a layer there with priming but if in doubt you can always scrape away a little bit if they aren’t going in. Just be mindful that even without paint they can be tight fits that need slight pressure to get them in (which is terrifying, I never know if I’m applying good pressure or about to break it 😄)

I hope Tamiya acrylic works well on these models I don’t feel like investing into more brands of paint for these fiddly things, in comparison to 1/72 aircraft

Honestly any miniature paint range is fine :) I just mention Army Painter since that’s the range I have at home :)

Had this guy sitting on my bench for about a year now! After I finish off my NCR I think I'll have a crack at him 😬

You've got this! It looks like a really intimidating mini to paint but honestly once you break it down into stages it becomes way more manageable and fun to paint :)

Is there a alternative to air brushing?
@MisfitHobbies Жыл бұрын
I usually recommend drybrushing as a replacement for airbrushing
