@@sharkley1981 That seems to be his typical go-to in gameplay. Cast a spell that he thinks is all he has to do because everyone will just concede. And when they don't, he struggles to figure out how to actually win the game after that.

I'm curious why in response to Higher's brain freeze on his draw Cass didn't use his "infinite mana" to untap staff of domination and just put another draw on the stack. He could cycle his deck till he found Flusterstorm if it wasn't in the yard to counter all the brain freeze's pointed at him. I don't recall if Fluster was in grave or not though. He could also find the Nexus of Fate and cast it in response and puts his infinite turns on the stack there. However, I think regardless Higher had him there his decklist doesn't look like it has a lot of instant speed outs besides Hullbreaker that was super close and good on Higher. I don't mean to sound like a backseat andy I just love finding the puzzles in CEDH and where the outs are especially in Teferi.

Cassius definitely could have restarted the infinite on top of the brainfreeze drawn his brainfreeze cast it and then used any instant that says "target player draws" to kill his opponent and remove all the other brainfreezes with him just leaving his opponents on empty

I really enjoy watching the dude, but sometimes it feels that the salt runs too quickly in his veins when the table stops him. And it's weird because you would expect a guy that always plays "mono blue all the counters" to not get salty at interaction.

Yeah it’s not hate at all it’s that he seems to net deck. Last time he played Teferi against Joe M he basically played solitaire the entire game to win. Even the second game he did it again. Anytime anyone stops him he gets super defensive. I recall Joe m giving Cassius the side eye. Cassius just wants to flaunt his shinnies and forgets the aspect of the game. I think there’s a difference between him knowing his cards and just having people guide him through stuff or just only having one way to play his deck.

But when you sit at a friendly game of a multiplayer format, it doesn't matter if it's casual or cedh, you can't get mad or salty at people just... interacting and trying to play as well. The game is social but he only seems to enjoy when everyone is just looking at him. Like I said, I enjoy watching the dude, and clearly he's a beloved guest for the audience and for the hosts, but I can criticize his attitude towards the table

His issue is he only knows the one combo for this deck and he doesn’t ever like to play it out. As you see on video around 1 hour in. His response to higher is to say “ well I have this one card that does x and it gives me protection but also I have initiate turns” but then can’t even explain how it works when he’s asked about it. He just always wants to win by saying “ I get infinite turns and infinite mana” hoping the rest will concede. But when asked to explain it he can’t. He also on another episode said this deck is a copy of a championship deck. So his answer is to throw money but not know how to pilot the thing.

This was pretty painful to watch. Always enjoy watching Joe, and i LOVE Higher in games, but this OG Mage whatever guy is one of the most boring, no personality players i see on KZbin. He's so hard to understand when he speaks, he obviously has never played cEDH before, he never says or contributes anything to the chat either. He must must be included in pods exclusively by virtue of being Joe's mate because there's not really any reason to have anyone so boring take up a seat that literally anyone else could fill and be 10x more enjoyable to watch. I normally avoid videos with this guy in them, but i saw Higher so gave it a click. And i guess Cassius is super slow, and didn't seem overly keen to actually explain his line, which is annoying. But at least he has personality.
