There are pinning archetypes that want to go first: pin your opponent in their deployment zone with lots of tough cavalry and bring up the other hammers behind. It's one reason vanguard palladors and hexwraiths got point increases and Chaos Nurgle mark got nerfed.

Another one is KO party bus (32 guys in one ironclad). It seizes the centre, shoots you REALLY hard, and then redeploys out of reach in your turn. It needs the space to retreat without going too far away (that said it's still susceptible to be double turned).

Mind that the black coach can ONLY return non-unique heroes. So it should have returned a knight of shrouds (without their enhancements) on bottom of 2.

small gotcha: 27': flying units don't benefit from cover. (generally it's simple: nighthaunt don't benefit from most terrain rules)

For record regarding r4 pre-roll off had ghosts doubled it wouldn't make orruk's underdog. 6vp behind negates that too

Sludge raker's nerf even bigger than you mentioned. It didn't give damage just for crit's but all. In essence double damage. I'm saddest about big pigs hitting on 5's. Seems so unneccessary. And need　to see does gw errata back multiple ironjaw waagh in　game or not.

Yea the battle tome feels like a nerf to a army that does not need to be nerfed. It makes you wonder about the in house testing.

The book was rough. I can only hope Sludgy drops to the low 200s in points to make up for his significant nerfing. I do think KB could still be competitively playable with just like 2-3 buffs though. My wishlist is: - Return Sneakin to the movement phase. - Make the first Trick automatic, no roll needed to activate their literal only faction ability. - Give KB the recursion ability the Great Waaagh has, burn a CP to get back half the squishy 5+ save ladz.
